40 Moons: The moon light Gathering

Eight moons later, my daughter Adderwing and I were leading Lightning colony for ten moons now and Adderwing was killed by a Darkpath former captain of Finch colony. "Ma'am, I'm sorry to tell you this but Adderwing was found dead on the lookout rock." Mapleshadow said. "Alright, thanks Mapleshadow. Cats of Lightning colony gather around the tall rock for a meeting." I announced. "Sadly our last second was killed by Darkpath. So I must appoint a new second so I choose Swanpetal." I announced. "I will protect this colony with my life." Swanpetal said as she walked over to the tall rock and sat down next to me. "And with that colony dismissed." I announced as I walked towards my den. "Lightningbreeze come on the moon light gathering were gonna be late." Swanpetal said as I lead the clan to the moon light gathering. We were the first ones to make it to the moon light island. Bouldersnout and his rangers were the second to arrive at the moon light gathering. "I miss my daughter Adderwing." I muttered to myself as Bouldersnout jumped up onto the tree next to me. "Hi, Lightningbreeze. How is Lightning colony treating you as captain?" Bouldersnout asked chuckling. I looked over at Bouldersnout. "Oh hi, Bouldersnout. Lightning colony has been treating me well." I said looking down at my paws. Bouldersnout's smile faded into a frown. He put a paw on mine. "What's wrong, Lightningbreeze?" Bouldersnout asked concerned.

Flashback to the lookout rock
"My daughter was killed by Darkpath. She was out on patrol and she was sitting on the lookout rock when he snuck up behind her and attacked her. Killing her instantly..."

"...None of my rangers have been killed in our territory since I became captain." I said as a tear rolled down my face. Finchoak and her rangers the next ones to make it to the gathering. Finchoak jumped up onto the tree next to me and Bouldersnout. Then Pikeriver and her rangers were the last colony to make it to the moon light gathering. Pikeriver jumped up onto the tree next to me, Bouldersnout, and Finchoak. "Since every cat is here tonight let the moon light gathering begin. Boulder colony has three new kittens born this summer. Leaf, March, and Quail." Bouldersnout announced. "Leaf, March, Quail." All the cats cheered. I stood to my paws shaking. "Lightning colony has recently lost our last second Adderwing to Darkpath." I said trembling but Bouldersnout was there to steady me. "You okay Lightningbreeze?" Bouldersnout asked concerned. I breathed as I started talking. "I appointed Swanpetal to be my next second." I said as I sat down. Finchoak stood to her paws with confidence. "Finch colony is blessed with one new ranger sitting visal at base tonight Thundertail. He trained with the best to become a Finch colony ranger." Finchoak announced as she sat down to let her sister talk. "Pike colony has four new new claw Sky, Gorse, and Web. They are going to be strong Pike colony rangers after there training is done." Pikeriver announced as she sat down and I stood to my paws. "And with that this moon light gathering is over." I announced as Bouldersnout gave me a reassuring look and jumped off of the tree and lead his colony back to his territory then Pike colony and Finch colony. I leapt off of the tree and I walked over to my clanmates and lead them back to base.
