Chapter 7

After meeting with Mr Xavier, Sarah was deeply annoyed and James could see that.

"So, when do we meet up for the session?"

"Never," she replied and sped off ahead of him.

Henry showed up by his side, "how'd it go?"

"Not sure yet. What about you and Queen?"

"Don't even ask, just looking at her a kilometer away gives me shivers."

James burst out laughing as they headed to the music room.

Yeah he was the only one who really took much interest in the class, but it was still compulsory to take it.

He decided to take the empty seat next to Sarah who in return, rolled her eyes.

"So, I was thinking about us having the session in the library after school."

"I said we'll have it never and at nowhere."

The entire lesson, he pestered her with questions which led to her ignoring him.

Once lunch came, she told Queen she needed some alone time and would be eating at the corner table.

Of course, James wasn't going to stop persisting until she agreed.

He sat at her table and gave a cheerful smile, "so, have you decided yet?"

She stood up and violently slammed her palms on the table.

"Just meet me after school."

She walked out and everyone looked at him questioningly, to which he gave another smile.

He went back to Henry who gave him a high five.

"Well done."

"The Bible does say we should be persistent."

"Well, I love God even more. Maybe I should try that with Queen?"

"You wish. You'll end up like a newbie wrestler in his first match."

Meanwhile, Marilyn was at school, looking through her children's Bible.

Harry came up to her and looked at the Bible.

"What are you reading?" He asked taking a seat by her.

"My Bible."

"What story is that?"

"It's not just a story, silly. It's the Word of God and all his works."

"Why do you read it if He doesn't even exist?"

She thought for a while before speaking. "Is Superman's planet real?"

"Yes."

"How do you know that?"

"I don't know, I believe it. If not how did superman get his powers?"

"Exactly! In the same way, I believe that God is real, if not, how did we and the whole world come to be?"

"Well, if He is alive, then why did your parents die?"

"If He's dead, how were they alive in the first place?"

Harry stayed quiet for a moment, "but then why do people suffer?"

"My Jamie says that it's because of our decisions and the wrong path. He also said that God does things to make us trust him more and see if we have enough faith."

Hazel shows up, "what are you guys talking about?"

"God and how He makes us suffer to give us faith."
