Shuffling around in the bed, slowly you once again raised up from the bed. Looking around, Ein was once again gone. In his place were a letter and a pair of clothes. You must have fallen asleep again, the hazy feeling had mostly left. But still, you felt this lingering tiredness. The top was nice, it was a soft off shoulder long-sleeve. Colored cornflower blue with a gold floral pattern. Along with a black coat, and black legging pants.

After changing you felt more fresh and awake. Taking a look at the note it said he'd be back soon and that was an issue to fix. The last time you left the room on your own, you had passed out in the halls. Or at least that was how Ein found you. It was comforting that at least you weren't on your own long.

Back with Ein things were not that peaceful.

As a black-gloved fist slammed into the stone wall. The group of wolves cowered at the angry man. Ein was absolutely simmering with rage at the lack of emeralds found. Deep down he was sure that they were still in the mountain. And that the wolf pack wasn't mining hard enough to find them.

He still had a saved supply of them. But not enough to feel powerful, or confident enough with his plans. So he continued to take his frustrations out on members of the pack. Of course, until Tatianna came running to their defense per usual. Promising him that there would be results soon.

"There better be" He darkly stated before storming off. A small part of Ein cooled down knowing that he would see you soon. And that the new home he was working on was almost complete. But before that, he had a gift to prepare.

Tatianna continued to patch up the young wolf that had the unfortunate luck of returning to Ein empty-handed. She was sure that Ein never showed this kind of cruelty in front of you. You were much too kind-hearted to her and the other pack members. Tatianna witnessed her Alpha be so tender when it came to your care.

Especially when you were drugged and unresponsive for the last week. It was unnerving, seeing you in that state. But she had no choice since Ein instructed her to help with your care.
You truly did not deserve to be in this place, none of them did,

She quietly made her way to the room you were staying at. The wolves standing guard informed her that Ein was not present–rapid footsteps approached them.

Her heart dropped as she turned to see Ein scowling at them. "Why are you here?" He snapped. "A-Alpha I wanted to inform you about the new mining plan. And you are usually here with Y/n" She managed to get out. "Tell me another time I have things to do" Ein brushed them off. Had he shown up even a few minutes earlier Tatianna was sure it would have cost her life.

Finally, Ein entered the room pleased to see you in the clothes he had left out. Putting down the book you were reading, you greeted Ein with a smile "Hey stranger".

"You look better, here I got you something," Ein said, pulling out a small box. "A gift?" You said raising an eyebrow. Taking the small black box, you smiled at the f/c ribbon wrapped around it. Even after all these years had passed, Ein still remembered the small details.

What was inside made you almost drop the box? It was a silver braided ring with a bright emerald gemstone in the center. "This isn't an engagement ring right" You flusteredly said. His eyes widened "Uh–I that wasn't my intent" before you both burst out laughing.

"Thank you Ein really, it's a beautiful ring" You truthfully said, admiring it on your finger.
