Greatest Fathers

Rocky's POV:
"What I advice sir is to let your older son, Tecson, rule the pack" my father's adviser, old man Theodore said and I agree with him.

I'm Rocky Garner and I'm an Alpha. My father is the current leader of our pack and I'm next in line because I'm the only one in our family who inherited his Alpha genes but there's a problem... I'm too submissive.

Normal Alphas are dominant and fierce but somehow, I turned out to be shy and timid. My older brother, Tecson is a beta but he's dominant. As well as my younger brothers and sisters. Most of them are betas and some are deltas and they're all dominant except me.

"I have to agree with him dad. I'm not fit to rule the pack" I said. "If you haven't noticed yet, I decide on emotion and not on intellect or tactic so letting me lead the pack would be disastrous"

"Nonsense. He's an Alpha. He'll learn how to be an Alpha" dad said while Theodore and I both groaned

"But I don't have a mate yet and I'm already 25" I said

"I'm sure they're out there" dad said and sighed. "Look Rocky, I'm getting old. So is your mother and we would like to enjoy more time together. It's your time to lead the pack with or without a mate"

"B-but—"

"Your mother and I will be helping you so don't worry. I'm sure your brothers and sisters wouldn't mind helping you too" he said

"Aren't you concerned of what I'll do as the leader? I'm submissive dad. I cower in front of other Alphas and that's not very good especially when we have to fight them" I said

"I'm sure you'll learn along the way. You'll learn how to be strong, how to be fierce, and how to fight and kill for the people you love" he said. "Theodore and I will be planning the ceremony so if you could please..." he motioned to the door and I sighed before going out.

"Alpha" my sister Joddily bowed and I glared at her

"I'm not" I said grumpily

"Listen here, I get to call you whatever I want" she stepped forward to me and I backed up against the wall while nodding. "Jeez I'm just kidding. You're too submissive to be the leader"

"I know that's why I don't want to be the leader" I said. "Maybe you want to?" I asked and she cackled

"Hell no. I want to enjoy my life" she said and walked away. I went to the kitchen and grabbed some food.

Me being a leader will not go well. Not just because I'm meek but I can't even make my own decisions so what will happen if I'll be the one making the decisions for the pack. It'll be, like I said, very disastrous.

"Stress eating?" Tecson appeared and opened the fridge

"Yes" I said. "Can't you persuade dad to make you the leader?" I said and he sat down on the other side of the table

"Rocky, I'm flattered that you think I can be the Alpha of the pack but I can't. An Alpha leader needs to be a real Alpha" he said

"But I'm not really a real Alpha right?"

"You are. Remember when we were all younger? We were chasing bunnies but then you came back with a deer. A dead one at that. We weren't allowed to kill anything and yet you did. You defied mom and dad" he said and I cringed

"Ugh... don't remind me. I cried for days after that. I felt bad for killing the deer" I said

"To be fair, it was a common species of deer and it was old already" he said. "Get up. I know what you need" he said

"What?" I asked and he just pulled my arm. We ran out of our house and entered the nearby club. If I had known that we were going here, I would've worn baggy clothes, and a mask, and sunglasses but I didn't so now, everyone in the club recognized me and bowed. I chuckled nervously and waved before going to the bar with Tecson.
