Jet's POV:
"According to intel, the leader was seen last night in the village inside the forest. The whole group is most likely to be there as well. We'll wait for more intel but for now, train. Dismissed" General Evander Flint announced and all of us dispersed.

I have a crush on General Flint ever since I joined the army. He's tall, smart, handsome, has a dark sense of humor but at least he has humor in his system. He's muscular but not bodybuilder muscular. More of a model type body.

I did a few exercises and drills and after that, I decided to go to General Flint's office. I'm gonna tell him I like him because in the military life, you don't know if it's your time to be a fallen hero.

I knocked on General Evander Flint's office door. "Enter!" He yelled using his deep, sexy voice.

"Sir!" I saluted and he saluted back.

"What do you want Private" he said sitting back down.

"Sir, I know we're in the middle of a war against terrorists but I should tell this now..." I said

"We don't have all day Private so tell me what is it?" He said getting impatient

"I really like you General and I was hoping I could take you out on a date sir!" I ranted and he rose his eyebrows in surprise. I looked down at my feet when he didn't respond. I stood there for a few more moments until I decided to go out. "Well, it's worth a shot" I muttered to myself turning around

"Tell you what Private..." he said just as I was about to grab the doorknob.

"Sir?" I asked turning around again

"If we win and survive, I'll take you out myself" he said and I smiled inwardly

"Yes sir" I pursed my lips trying to fight off the smile that was trying to appear.

Once I closed the door, I jumped and silently shouted.

"Someone's happy" my friend, Private Macy Mallory, said chuckling.

"I am beyond happy" I said hugging her

"Before I ask, what were you doing inside the General's office huh?" She teased nudging me and I blushed

"Stop it. I'm still a virgin" I said and she chuckled. "Let's just say the General accepted my request" I smiled brightly

"Way to go boy! My ship is sailing. It was docked for a long time but it's sailing now. So when's the date?" She asked

"After the war" I said

"That's a long time but I'm sure you can wait" she said and I nodded

"Jet wake up! Jet!" Someone shook me awake. I opened my eyes and immediately glared at the person like anyone else would.

"What the hell? It's too early for this" I grumbled looking at the clock. "Why are you waking me at 4 am?!" I said annoyed and covered my face with my blanket

"Jet get up! The General is coming!" She said and I shot up

"What?!" I shouted and looked around the room where everyone is clothed and standing in front of their beds. "Shit!" I cursed and wore my pants and shirt. I stood in front of my bed just as the door opened. I sighed in relief.

We all saluted but General Flint and the Lieutenant beside him didn't so we didn't put down our hands. General Flint started walking and I got sweaty. He looked ahead but stopped right in front of me.
