Your Highness (Part 3)

Prince David's POV:
This can't be happening. Just when me and Nicholas agreed about sharing him, he gets into an incident. I never realized I liked someone when he took the hit for me and the moment I knew I loved him was the time the sword impaled him.

The medical man came out of the infirmary room and went to talk with us in the common room.

"I'm sure you don't care about the servant..." the doctor said especially to me but I don't want anything but to know how Korey, my love, is doing. "... but he suffered blood loss and now is in a comatose state. All we can do now is hope that he wakes up and find people who can donate blood to him"

"What's his type" Nick asked

"He's O+. He may be a universal donor but people with type O can only receive blood from type O only" he said

"I'm type O+" I said

"Is it okay your highness I mean your dad just died" he asked. Both my and Nick's kingdom knows about our fathers' deaths and according to royal custom, a queen cannot rule without a King but a King can rule without a queen. I think that's being sexist or too much reliance on patriarchal culture. Earlier while we were waiting for the doctor, we already made an agreement to break down the literal walls between our Kingdoms to unite it and so that if Korey will wake up— no, Korey will surely wake up, he won't have any problems on where to stay and doesn't have to travel from one kingdom to another because we're planning on making a connecting road between the two kingdoms for easier transport. See Korey, we're coordinating so you better wake up. "Call the head of the household and set up a coronation ceremony tomorrow as declared by the new King" I said to the doctor and he went ahead and went to the castle.

"I need to announce immediate coronation as well" Nicholas said

"Just make a letter, sign it and let anyone outside deliver it to your castle" I said. The travel time between our two kingdoms is approximately 3 hours since we're at various land forms. The castle is on top of a mountain, the fields are of course plains and the town lies on the rolling hills and the lack of road systems adds to the travel time but with the agreed wall breaking and road making between two kingdoms, instead of 3 hours on different tracks like fields, rocks, rivers etc. The travel time would be 20 minutes with the road paved. The targeted time is, of course, plausible with the use of a horse.

"Right" he agreed and asked the attendant for paper and ink. He rapidly wrote his simple letter with his signature and tied it and went outside to call someone who will deliver the letter to the other kingdom.

*2 months later*

"King I have a dilemma" the young boy said

"And what is it" I asked

"I was planning on leaving this kingdom and go the the neighbouring kingdom but I don't have a horse" he said

"Why would you go there" I asked

"I have to visit Nick" he said

"Okay sweetie I'll let you use the horse but only if you have a guard with you" I said smiling at him. He's so gorgeous and adorable.

"Thanks dear" Korey kissed my lips and jumped happily towards the door. Before he went out he turned to me and said "I love you" he shouted. I chuckled at him and replied

"I love you too. Now go on but remember you have to be back before sundown. Today's my day with you and not his" I said

"Okay. And I might give you a treat for your kindness today your highness" he said going out.

Everything turned out to be okay.

Lord Nicholas' POV:
"King there's a boy outside looking for you" a guard said

"Let him in" I said

"Hello!" Korey shouted running over to me. "I missed you" he said pecking my lips

"We just saw each other the other day. Good thing David let you come here or did you sneak out" I asked him

"Of course not. I persuaded him and he agreed and I might've told him he'll get a treat later" he said

"Oh now I'm jealous" I said pouting at him though I really am jealous

"Just you wait dear" he said chuckling

"I'm taking you back to David later. Your guard can use the horse back" I said

Korey's POV:
After that life-threatening incident, they told me I was in a coma but it felt like I was just asleep though it was a very good sleep since I didn't wake up exhausted though I did wake up with a dry mouth and throat. They told me I have been in that state for 7 weeks and today is my first week of finally waking up. Good thing I didn't lose any memories. They also told me that David donated blood. Yes, King David, the once cruel prince donated blood.

Right now I'm inside David's room waiting for dinner. David and Nicholas are currently preparing dinner with the head chef. I am still a servant since I'm still thinking about taking a position in the kingdom but I might say yes.

"Korey!!! Dinner's ready!!!" They both shouted and all I can say is

"Coming, Your Highness"
