Connor's POV:
"What are you doing out here" I cooed at Dark, our dog who was sitting by the door while shivering. "It's cold out here. C'mon let's go inside" I scratched behind his ear and he turned his head towards my hand and his hind legs scratched the floor. I smiled and hugged him before opening the door. "I'm home!"

"How's school" mom asked from the kitchen

"Boring as usual. I had three pop quizzes today but I passed them thankfully" I said and she hummed. "By the way, why did you leave Dark out in the snow" I said

"I haven't gone out of that door today. Blame your brother. Percy! You locked Dark outside again!" She shouted

"C'mon let's stay by the fireplace" I said to Dark and he yipped. He ran to the fireplace and I walked behind him. I stopped when I saw my brother cuddling with his boyfriend. I rolled my eyes and turned to go to the kitchen.

"Your homophobia is showing" he said and I turned around and smiled

"No, my singleness is showing" I said and went to mom

"What are you cooking" I asked and hugged her from behind

"I found this recipe on the web. It's called chicken adobe" she said and I chuckled

"It's adobo" I laughed and she kissed my cheek

"Oh yeah I forgot" she chuckled. "It's my first time cooking this" she said and added soy sauce

"Can I help?"

"Go to your room, change, and come back here. I'll think of something for you to do" she said and I nodded and went to my room. I removed my parka and changed into shorts, a t-shirt, and socks. I went back to the kitchen and watched her cook.

"Taste this" she said and handed me the ladle. I took a sip from the broth and covered my mouth while I cringed. I drank water and she stared at me

"Too salty"

"More vinegar then" she said. "And water. You go rest. I'll take care of this. I'll call you when this needs another taste test" she said and I nodded

I went to the living room and sat in the cuddle chair where the couple is supposed to be but no, they're hogging the whole couch.

"Dark come here" I called him and we walked towards my and sat on my lap. "Do you love me?" I asked him and he licked my hand. "Okay there are more sanitary ways to say it" I chuckled and grabbed the rubbing alcohol and sat back down

"What about me Dark? Do you love me" Percy asked. I kid you not Dark rolled his eyes at him and I laughed

"I love you Dark" I said and scratched him behind the ear. "Can't you just be a person and be my boyfriend already" I said to him

"Woah" Percy said

"What?" I said confused

"You're gay" he said and I gave him a look that says 'obviously'

"Duh? Haven't I made it obvious by now?"

"You haven't come out yet. This is big news" he said

"Do I really need to come out? I don't really care" I said and grabbed the remote

"Mom! Connor's gay!" Percy yelled and I rolled my eyes

"Wow, I'm so surprised" she said in a bored tone and I chuckled at Percy's surprised face

"So you aren't gonna lecture him about having boyfriends?" He yelled

"He's smart. I know he knows what he's doing" she said
