Chapter 6 Falling for you

I felt his hand brush against my waist, as he handed me the reins.--I immediatly felt tingly, my hands starting to shake, my heart starting to beat faster.--He snapped me out of it, as he touched my shoulder.--I looked back at him, my stomach all of a sudden feeling queasy.--You okay? He asked.--I swallowed, and nodded, looking at him, meekly, his arm still, lightly touching my waist.--He moved his hand, as if realizing why I was shy all of a sudden.--He nudged Minumus with his foot, I felt my breath catch in my throat as he took off.--Hugo chuckled, as I looked down, at the stables, intriged.--This isn't so bad! I grinned.--SO, wanna race the course now? He asked.--......My jaw tightened, N-N-Not really! I frowned.--Come on!--Don't you wanna make the tryout race? He winked at me.--I giggled, and absently nodded...--He smirked, putting his hands on top of mine, then turned Minumus around, toward the course, as he pulled it to the right.--....THATS...how you do it!!! I exclaimed.--He looked at me, and laughed--Yeah.--TRY, scaredy cat! He said, in a teasing tone.--

A light smile grew on his face as I glared at him, taking the reins.--Just...don't fall! I grinned.--He chuckled.--I nudged Minumus with my foot, as I saw Hugo do.--He took off around the course.--I'M DOING IT!!!! I exclaimed, as Hugo laughed.--I started getting nervous as we approached the bell.--

He started climbing, I felt the pressure, as we went up, and up.--I glanced down, and gasped as I slipped off.--I grabbed the edge of the bricks.--HELP!!! I exclaimed.--I felt a hand around my stomach.--I looked down to see Hugo.--I blushed, and let go.--I practically, fell back down onto Minumuses back.--Are you okay? Hugo asked, his hand still around my stomach.--I--Y-Yeah, I'm fine! I smiled at him.--He glanced at me, then moved his hand, quickly.--

We landed.--You think you'll try out next year if you make it? He asked, with a grin, as we dismounted.--...Not if it means I'll end up in a hospital bed.....--He looked down.----I looked at him, trailing off, as I realized what I just said.--I'm...sorry, I didn't mean--I started over--Your brother would've been proud of you, Hugo--He shook his head.--I'm the reason he's in the hospital right now, to begin with!--But...no one I know understands that.....no one I know gets it....and I hope you never will!....--Your lucky to have James, and Amber.--Don't take them for granted, Sofia.--You don't know when a normal goodbye, could end up y-your last. He said, in a gentle tone, but serious enough to make a shiver go down my spine.--W-When do you think Axel will wake up? I asked.--A coma could last years!--Sometimes I wonder if....he can hear me....or if he'll remember me! He frowned.--

I can....go with you next time your going to visit...if you want! I suggested.--...Y-You'd...do that? He said.--...Yeah!--We're friends now.....aren't we? I grinned.--His eyes seemed to light up, before he wrapped me in a hug.--Thank you. He said, softly.--I hugged him back, blushing.--

Hugo really wasn't the guy I thought he was!
