The next day, my homework was piled up, since I had saved it for last minute!—I had been doing the same sheet of math homework for two hours now!—All I wanted was ice cream!—My phone buzzed.—I noticed Hugo was calling.—As I remembered the message from last night, I ended it, quickly.—

He texted me.—"Sofia, can you call me back?"—I didn't call him back, and I didn't text him.—The reason he was calling me was either for two reasons, to tease me about the text, or ask me if I wanted his help again on Monday.—Neither of them were THAT important, so I didn't take him on!—I would deal with the teasing looks on Monday!—

He called me again, a couple hours later.—I didn't answer.—He texted me, "Are you mad at me or something?"—"I don't know what I did, but I really need to talk!"—"Call me back!"—"Please!"—

I didn't.—The last thing I wanted was for him to ask me, "what was that message about?"—

Hugo's POV-I sat down on my bed, with a sigh, putting down my phone.—Mom came in.—Y-You o-okay? She asked.—.....NO!!!—NO I'M NOT OKAY!!!!—And the one person I go to for advice....is currently on his death bed. I frowned.—I can't do this anymore, mom!—Its not fair! I shook my head, blinking back tears.—She sighed, and gave me a hug.—

Sofia's POV-I scanned the hall, as I walked down the corridor.—I opened my locker.—Sofia—I jumped, and turned to see Hugo behind me.—H-Hi....H-Hugo. I said, trying to pretend nothing happened.—......Why didn't you ca—ABOUT the text, that was AMBER okay—N-No, I—I told her—Sofia—NOT to send it!—It was all a prank—SOFIA!—I wasn't calling you about the text!—I KNEW it was Amber!—Don't worry! He said, but his tone wasn't playful, he wasn't teasing me, he was serious.—I knew something was wrong.—....W-What...did you....call me about then? I asked, leveling my tone with his.—

He looked at me.—There....releasing my...brother from the hospital—HE'S AWAKE!!! I exclaimed.—A light smile grew on his face, but faded after a couple seconds.—No....he's still in the coma. He said.—.......I shot him a baffled look.—Since he got to the hospital, he's been hooked up to a special machine to keep him breathing.....if they turn it off........—W-WHAT, they can't—They can.—He's been in there for more then five months, they have to let him go!—But as soon as that machine turns off.......—H-Hugo....I'm....I'm....so sorry......! I grimaced, resting my hand on his shoulder.—When are they...—F-Friday. He said, looking down.—Maybe we should visit him today! I said.—He looked at me.—I-It's a lot....seeing him...o-or ANYONE...like that.....are you sure? He asked.—Yeah!—Your a good friend, Hugo!—I wanna be there for you!—Especially now! I said, shooting him a warm smile.—Th-Thanks Sofia. He said, resting his hand on top of mine, mustering a smile, but the tears in his eyes, were as visible as ever.—

We were moving closer, until he looked down.—He shook his head, I-I should... go....s-see you l-later. He said, his voice shaky.—I frowned as he walked off.—

Hugo's POV-I opened my locker, my gaze locked on a picture of me and Axel on my locker door.—I wiped my face, ripped it off, and through it in the trash.—I grabbed my bag, and walked out quickly.—I called my coach to pick me up, and sat down, in the grass with a sigh.—

Sofia's POV-I was walking in the hall, when a saw a picture of Hugo and Axel in the trash.—I sighed, picking it up.—I went outside, he was sitting in the grass, his face buried in his knees.—Y-You....left your photo in the trash. I said, as I walked up.—He looked up at me, wiping his face.—He shrugged, looking down.—I sat down next to him.—Your just gonna sit here forever, after Friday? I said.—......Axel would...never really be gone, he'll always be with you....in here! I said, resting my hand on his chest.—He looked at me, Aren't you supposed to call me an idiot, and tell me he'll wake up before Friday? He said.—I COULD....but that would be a lie, you DUMMY! I said, slapping him on his shoulder.—He looked at me, and started laughing.—......He caught himself after a few minutes.—
