Simeon never had writer's block that often, but when he did, it usually lasted for days. Though he didn't have a deadline for this new novel, he wanted to at least get the first few chapters done. But whatever he thought of never went anywhere or fell apart with massive plot holes.
So there he sat, tapping his fingers on the desk while staring at the blank screen in front of him. Simeon suddenly had an idea pop into his head, only for it to slip his mind as soon as someone knocked on his door. He quietly sighed, frustrated that he forgot it so easily.
"Come in!" Simeon said nicely, though anyone could tell he sounded tired.
"Simeon? You've been in here for a while, are you alright?" Luke asked as he kept into the room.
"Ah...yes, I'm fine. I'm just...having a difficult time trying to come up with a good plot for this story." Simeon frowned.
"Oh! Why not ask Levi? He's got tons of ideas!" Luke chirped.
"I would but...that's a bit of a problem. He has so many ideas, it's quite overwhelming." Simeon chuckled nervously.
"Hm...then what about Satan? I'm sure with the number of books he's read he might be able to help you piece something together!" Luke suggested.
"Hm...I think that's a good idea, I'll just call him and- oh..." Simeon stopped.
"What's wrong? Can't open your phone again? Remember your password is 69-"
"It's not that, but thank you haha. I just remembered Satan and Solomon are on a lunch date at that cat cafe and didn't want anyone to contact him until he said otherwise. So there go my last options." Simeon sighed.
"Oh, right...then, what about Y/n?" Luke asked.
Simeon jolted up at the sound of your name.
"...um actually you know what? I don't think I need help anymore. I got an idea now, thank you, Luke!" Simeon said rather quickly.
"Oh really? Can I hear it then?" Luke raised a brow.
"Um...s-sure! It's about...w-well uh...th-the Lord of Shadows! And...and...yeah!" Simeon thought hard for a moment.
"Riiight...I'm calling Y/n." Luke sighed as he left the room.
"W-Wait I got it-! Ah..." Simeon tried calling out for Luke but it was no use.
Simeon stared at his phone, debating whether or not to tell you not to come over. It wasn't like he didn't want to see you, he absolutely loved your company, but he didn't really like asking you for help with his stories. He felt like it was rather selfish to keep you to himself for hours and was afraid of annoying you or boring you.
"I called Y/n! They said that they'll be coming in a few minutes." Luke said.
Too late to change plans now isn't it?
"Oh...thank you Luke, you're too kind." Simeon smiled nervously.
"How come you didn't want to call Y/n over? Are you mad at them?" Luke asked.
"Oh, no! Not at all! I just...ah well I didn't want to bother Y/n today, I've already bugged them enough the entire week don't you think?" Simeon said.
"I don't think Y/n's bothered by you asking for help! I mean, they're always willing to help Mammon...and you know how much he asks from everyone." Luke said.
"So don't worry! Meanwhile, I'll go make some snacks for when Y/n arrives. Don't object to it either or I'll call Levi instead!" Luke threatened.
Simeon slumped down in his chair, he was forever grateful for Luke's kindness, but he couldn't help but worry about how determined he could get.
