"Young master, are you alright?" Barbatos said as he knocked on Diavolo's door.

Though he always respected his master's wishes, Barbatos began to grow concerned when Diavolo told him he wasn't feeling well and didn't want to leave his room. No matter what he's tried, Barbatos wasn't able to get Diavolo out of his room. Not even to eat.

Barbatos didn't know what made Diavolo suddenly shut himself in, but whatever it was it began to worry him.

"I will be out soon! I just...need a few more moments to myself, that's all." Diavolo did his best to sound like his cheery self.

"Would you like me to summon Y/n? Perhaps they could assist you in getting better." Barbatos insisted.

"Y-No, No! That's alright! I wouldn't want them to worry over nothing." Diavolo spoke frantically.

"...As you wish, my lord. But please do remember to eat, if you aren't feeling well, skipping meals is not going to help you feel better." Barbatos warned.

"Haa...thank you Barbatos. I assure you that I will go out to eat soon." Diavolo insisted.

"Very well then...if there is anything you need, please do not hesitate to call me." Barbatos said before walking away.

Barbatos never liked disobeying a direct order from Diavolo, the mere thought of it sent shivers down his spine. But he was adamant that calling you over would help Diavolo tremendously. Even if he didn't let you in his room, maybe your voice alone would encourage Diavolo to come out and eat.

Hesitantly, Barbatos picked up his D.D.D and sent you a message, urgently asking you to come over. He could only hope that he was doing the right thing.

Meanwhile, Diavolo sat in his bed feeling sick to his stomach. He felt terrible for not telling Barbatos the entire truth, but he didn't want to worry him. He had an image to uphold, after all.

In reality, Diavolo was beyond exhausted and completely stressed with piles of work that never seemed to end, and constant concerns about whether he was truly a good ruler. He couldn't help but feel as if he wasn't doing enough to ensure everyone's happiness and safety, especially yours.

But as much as he dreaded it, he dared not complain. He was too afraid of disappointing anyone if he did. So he kept to himself.

"Y/n...thank goodness you're here." Barbatos gave you a haste greeting by the door.

"Of course...you said it was urgent, is everything okay?" Your brows knit with worry.

"It's the young master. He hasn't come out of his room all day. Not even to eat." He said.

"Could he be sick..?" You suggested.

"It is unlikely. My lord tends to put on a show whenever he is feeling ill. This...is something different." Barbatos sighed.

"And you want me to help him?" You asked.

"...yes, you seem to have more luck in having the young master open up than anyone I know. But he ordered me not to bring you over, so please try not to mention that I invited you." Barbatos said, seemingly ashamed to go against Diavolo's wishes.

"You...You went against his orders..?" You asked, surprised that Barbatos was even able to do that.

"...I am certainly not proud of it, but I'd do anything to ensure the young master's well-being." He said.

"Then...I'll do my best to help." You said, not wanting to disappoint either of them.

"Thank you Y/n...I am in your debt." Barbatos said.
