" Demons and Wisteria "
Ever since the incident, Y/N's Kasugai crow, Shiro, started to become more and more worried for her. It was no surprise that Y/N's personality would change due to her current occupation, however, isn't she changing too fast? That wasn't the only thing that worried the crow. She was also becoming heartless. And it's only been the second mission. Now, they were onto the third mission.
"It's here." The crow said as she flew off Y/N's head.
Y/N tilted her head as she looked at the house in front of them. She did feel the presence of a demon, however, it was all over the house. She looked around and took note of how abandoned this place seemed. Also, the fact that the vines were all over the gate and the town that they just passed by before going here had strange people. They kept saying that there was no house here and that crossing over here was bad luck. They were most likely scared.
She was about to go inside the gate when Shiro said something, "Take care L/N." Before she flew off again.
Y/N blinked, not knowing why her crow said that. She is careful. Brushing off the crow's words, she opened the rusty gate. The moment she stepped foot inside the yard, she felt the immense presence of a demon around. A very strong one at that. She put her hands on the handle of the house's door and went inside.
She went in and was greeted by a small room. She was confused. The house was so big from the outside. She looked behind her and the door slammed shut. She opened it and instead of being met with the outside of the house, she was staring at another room. Cold sweat dripped down her forehead as she thought of what to do. Obviously she had to kill the demon. But, how would she know where it was? It's aura is all over the place.
She closed the door and faced the first room. There were three more rooms in front of her. She went through the middle one and everytime she opened another door, she was only brought to a new room. After reaching the third room, she stopped as she saw that there was no floor. Looking down the pit, there seemed to be no end. She looked forward and saw that there was another door in the front.
Leaving the place, she kept on repeati g the process of opening multiple doors and being met with a dead end at the third place. Tired, she sat down on the floor and thought hard.
There's always a dead end at the third time..And there's also always a door from then on. I have a hunch that the door from in front of the dead ends is where the demon's true form is. But there's no way I can get there!
Something clicked. She slowly stood up and took a deep breath.
Unless..That's What the demon wants me to think..
She dashed through the rooms and the moment she saw the huge pit inside the floor less room, she closed her eyes and jump down
I have to take this risk!
She opened her eyes and saw herself standing above the 'pit'. She looked around herself and tried to step forward. She still didn't fall.
I was right! It was an illusion!
She opened the final door and was grossed out of the sight in front of her. There were decapitated heads hanged on the ceiling. Y/N saw broken blades around the room and instantly recognized the metal.
They're demon slayers..
She then diverted her attention to the huge bulk of growing veins in the center of the place. The place where the demon is. Suddenly, limbs started growing out of the heart-like structure.
