" Into the Train of Madness "

"..."

Y/N was sat down on a bench outside the station. Kyojurou told her to do so as Fuku could not calm down until Y/N was finally out of sight. Hiroto was tasked with looking after Y/N, in case anything happened.

"What did you even do? You're so bloody.." Hiroto said.

"I just tormented a demon.." Y/N answered.

Hiroto shivered and backed away a little from the girl. She gave him a glare.

"Oh come on! As if I'd do that to you! I mean, I would— but not yet!"

"Your words aren't very reassuring!"

Then, he just sighed. Looking at Y/N again, she was looking down on the ground.

"..Tormenting a demon is..well- fine? All of us hate demons so what you did is okay.." Hiroto said, going back to his seat, "But doing it in front of a child isn't fine.."

"I know that!" Y/N growled in frustration, "I told her to go away though! Not entirely my fault she's traumatized now!"

After that, it was quiet. From the atmosphere, Hiroto could tell that Y/N was thinking deeply.

"It's her fault.." Y/N repeated, but now in a hushed tone.

"Why do you think so?"

"Because she's a child. Children are supposed to listen to what people older than them say. She didn't listen to me, so that's her consequence," a long pause came before she continued, "..A child must always listen to an adult, because kids aren't that smart. And if a child can't even do something as simple as following instructions, then, well," a bitter chuckle came before finishing, "That child, is a worthless one."

"That's.." Hiroto was dumbstruck.

'How can you say that, when you know that you used to be a child once too?' was what he wanted to say.

"Isn't that unfair to children?" Hiroto asked.

"Unfairness is just a synonym for reality."

Before the two could go on an argument, Kyojurou finally returned from calming down the child and basically doing his best to digress the situation. With him were lots and lots of bento boxes. Not only that, he carried them all with ease. Hiroto and Y/N's eyes almost fell off their heads trying to count the number of boxes their Hashira was carrying.

1..2..3..6..12..2-24, what the-?! WAIT HE HAS 30 OF THEM?!

The two slayers had their mouths wide agape. He couldn't possibly be able to eat all that by himself..right?

"Sorry for taking a while!" Kyojurou beamed, "I succeeded in calming the child down and handled the situation well. Oh, and I also bought all of these!"

"I- y-you know what? I'm not even gonna ask." Hiroto said, brushing it off when he knew he'd just waste energy trying to comprehend the Hashira's actions.

"Yeah it'd be the best for you to just keep quiet. Trust me, I know how you feel.." Y/N said, reminiscing the times when she first made it to the Flame Estate and witnessed first-hand the huge appetite Kyojurou had. No- scratch huge. Huge would be an understatement.
