" To the Beginning "
"Al..Alter?"
I stuttered out. My surroundings were all black, the only differing color was the crimson light above me and Alter. From that bright red light, formed what seemed like multiple crevices threatening to continually break the moment something happened. Something that I wouldn't like would spill out from there, I could feel it.
"Yep!" She said, eerily enthusiastic, "I've been waiting for you for..wait let me remember— you're 17..yeah! I've waited 7 years!"
"What the hell?!" I found the adrenaline to jump away from the warped entity. "7 years? I don't even remember ever meeting you, lest knowing you!"
"No no no.." Alter said maliciously, "you do remember. You're just doing e~very thing you can to make sure it never resurfaces to your consciousness."
"Ha! You practically gave yourself amnesia!" She spat,"Though your conscience has been catching up to you real quick, so I was able to slowly come back to you. And now..your mind is so vulnerable, perfect for you to fully face me. In fact you're so vulnerable right now that a kid just waltzed into it."
Then it hit me like sword in the stomach, I am dreaming. I am still in a world of fiction gone reality. And, I have a mission. A mission I don't even know why I started it.
"Ah..I have to wake up.! They're out ther—"
As I tried to run away to grab the sword that was hanging down from the topless sky, Alter caught and grabbed me by the hair, pulling me away violently from the sword.
"No! Let me go! Stop it!" I struggled desperately against it's clutches.
It began laughing as it lifted me up the cold, maroon ground and positioned me above a whirlpool of blood, thorns, and roses. Seeing the blood somehow made me sick to my stomach, my whole body shivered intensely. I don't know how that got here, I don't even want to know, all I know is that I don't— no— I shouldn't.
FEAR. FEAR. FEAR. FEAR. FEAR
I DON'T WANNA SEE IT.
GOD GOD GOD GOD GOD GOD GOD HELP ME PLEASE
"AH—! No! Stop! Please please please please please!! I can't go in there! I'm gonna die, I know it!" If I could, I'd kneel and kiss your feet, even become your slave, just don't put me in that thing.
"Well, that doesn't matter. Besides.."
"You're already dead, remember?"
"NO!!"
I reached out my hand as I was thrown into the whirlpool.
"Help!"
I yelled desperately but I realized I was already in a different place. The walls, floor, bed, everything was snow white and cold. My outfit changed as well. It was just a long, white, patient gown. Dread filled my stomach and I felt sick.
I wanted to scream, cry, and kill. Kill who? Anyone, even myself. I felt so disgusted, I wanted to rip off my skin just so that I wouldn't have to be here anymore. My hands were violently scratching my own skin, out of my control. I don't remember anything at all. I don't know why this is happening to me.
