" Departure "

If I were given the chance to go back in time, I would kill my past to end the filth in this world that is me.

Y/N couldn't look back at Koyuki after hearing what the woman had just told her. Rip her mask off? She wasn't even wearing one. Something about it pissed her off. In fact, it irritated her so much that the affection she gained for Koyuki for those two years were all tossed out of the window.

Her eyes burned with anger. Whats with the sudden feeling of rage? It's not like the woman said something wrong, well, other than being a bit rude.

Y/N harshly bit her lip in order to stop herself from saying something. Then, she walked off and into her isolation room.

"Eh? You are--! Koyuki-san! It's been a while!"

The girl's purple eyes landed on a woman with silver hair.

"True, it's been a while Shinobu. How are you doing?"

Shinobu chuckled, "I'm doing just fine!" Then, a rather tired look made its way onto her face, "Except for the fact that I was forced to personally take care of a certain someone.."

Koyuki's smile faded away.

"..hmph. And from the letter you gave me two years ago, I was under the impression you found my disciple cute." There was slight disappointment from her tone, Shinobu, after hearing this, had a change of expression.

"How exactly can I find her cute now? She--"

"Yes she killed someone. I've known that far longer than you have sweetie. Honestly, I'm actually starting to get tired of hearing those old news.." Shinobu was extremely flabbergasted. " The fact that this is annoying me when im not the one receiving the treatment speaks volumes.!"

She continued to add, "I'm not sure of the exact reasons, but this is probably why Y/N-chan is mad at you. Actually I think you're not the only one who's got her all worked up. I bet that Shinazugawa also had a part in it..scratch that I think she's just mad at everyone in general, including me!" Koyuki pouted.

Shinobu didn't know what to think. A part of her found the behaviour of Koyuki disgusting for the fact that her role model was undisturbed by the actions of her disciple.

"Aren't you angry about what she did? Are you the least bit concerned even?!"

"Not really. Shinobu, honestly.." the woman sighed, taking a seat in front of the Hashira, "For being one of the people sent to investigate the place she committed the 'crime' in, I thought you'd be the most understanding of what she did." Her tone was serious and dark, a complete opposite of her previous childish act.

As expected of a formidable former Hashira..

"..."

"P-please just go away..!" The woman cried out as she held her children in her arms tightly.

One was a corpse, and the other, in a state of shock and fear.

Shinobu maintained her smile despite everything and continued to interrogate the woman.
