Chapter 7

River's POV:
"An Asian kid? He came to see Ash? Who else?" Arthur said.

Why was I even called to this meeting?

"With a detective of the City Police. A French girl. And an American." The guy responded.

American girl? French girl? Does he mean Y/N and Amery? Shit. This can't be good.

"You know who they are?" Dino asked.

"Ash wouldn't meet someone just for a little chat. Papa Dino, let me handle it. Garvey's taking his time, right? Then, in place of the lynx, I'll bring you a cute Japanese cat and a fierce American." Arthur replies.

This definitely isn't good. I need to warn her in some way. But how? It's hard for me to sneak around this place since I don't hold such a high rank in Dino's army. Shit. There's gotta be some way to warn her.

Your POV:
Heading towards China Town, I was glad of one thing. Bringing Kimora with me. It made it a lot easier to fit in and meant I didn't need to bother asking for any directions. The downside was that we were being followed. I couldn't just attack in broad daylight, so I just had to let them follow me. Which I hated.

"Oh so you are aware we're being followed." Kimora says.

"You can tell too? Good. I'm glad I'm not the only one." I say.

We kept walking in the direction Kimora was leading me. I trusted her and trusted that she knew where to go. So she kept leading the way. Eventually, we arrived at the doorstep. We headed in, being greeted by someone at the door.

"Table for two?" She asked.

"Yeah." Kimora replied.

"Sit wherever you'd like." She replied.

Kimora, again, led the way to a booth in the far corner. Way out of sight from anyone.

"Here, this is for you. For free." Someone said, popping up out of nowhere.

"Shorter?" Kimora whispered.

"Kimora? Damn, you made me out quick. Sorry for the disguise. You two were followed so I had to do what I could." Shorter replied.

I could tell those guys were watching closely to out every move. But what I didn't know was that they were keeping a close eye on what we were saying.

"I don't suppose there's a doctor in town? I really should get my arm looked at." I asked.

"You!" Shorter whisper shouted.

"Oh so you do remember me then." I reply.

"We can't talk here. Meet at Meredith's." Shorter whispered, soon leaving.

"Come on, let's go." Kimora said, standing up and leaving.

"Ki-chan, wait for me!" I called out, quickly catching up to her.

"Please for the love of god do not call me Ki-chan again. It's embarrassing." Kimora said with a slight blush dusting her cheeks.

Kimora then led the way to Dr. Meredith's. I sure hope we can find what Ash was looking for there. I followed, still fully aware of the man following us. I don't know if he knew I made him or not. I was hoping he didn't, it'd ruin the fun. Shaking the thought from my mind, I continued to focus on the path ahead.

Once we got there, I knocked twice before opening the door only to realise fucking Arthur was waiting for us.

"I was waiting for you." Arthur said, completely catching me off-guard.

Which made it the second time in the space of 24 hours. Shit, I've gone soft.

"Thanks for guiding us here. My guys had been following you. What did Ash tell you?" Arthur said.
