Amery's POV:
I left Y/N's place and headed to the café in the middle of town. It was a risk to bring Eiji here, yes. But it's one I'm willing to take. After walking for a while, I spotted Eiji and headed over to him.

"Hello." I said, catching his attention.

"Amery. Hello." Eiji replied.

Without further words, I led the way back to the boss' place, making sure we weren't followed. Far as I knew, Eiji didn't know Y/N was the same as Ash. Leading a gang at such a young age.

"So how did you and Y/N meet by the way?" I answered, cutting the silence.

"She saved my life when Ash's hideout was attacked. She protected me and a little boy... though she was outnumbered." Eiji replied.

"Ah that's the boss I know and love." I joke.

"Boss?" Eiji repeats, confused.

"Oh, you didn't know? Y/N is a gang leader. But don't worry, she won't harm you. She's joined forces with Ash." I explain.

"Wow. She must've gone through a lot as well then." Eiji said, looking up at the clear sky.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that. Anyway, we're here." I say, opening the door to the apartment building.

Eiji followed me inside and we eventually made it to the hideout.

"Here. Make yourself at home. Y/N's sleeping so do try to be quiet." I say.

Eiji nodded and sat down on the sofa, looking slightly uncomfortable.

"It's okay. No one here is gonna hurt ya." Dan said.

"Yeah." Lucian added on.

Your POV:
After a while of sleeping, I jolted awake which caught Kimora off-guard.

"You okay?" Kimora asked.

"Yeah. Just a nightmare, that's all." I reply.

"How's your knee?" Kimora asks.

"It hurts a little, but I'll live. Anyway, I need to go back to China Town." I say, sitting up.

"Woah take it easy." Kimora said.

"I'm fine. Now are you coming to China Town with me or not?" I ask.

"Sure. but first, you have a visitor." Kimora says.

"Hello." Eiji says, poking his head around the door.

"Oh Eiji. Hello." I reply.

"Are you okay?" Eiji asked.

"Yeah, why?" I reply.

"Amery told me you were shot." Eiji said.

"Not exactly. It grazed my knee, so it missed. I was glad actually. It was my friend who pulled the trigger." I said, gazing out the window.

"Why would your friend shoot you? That doesn't exactly sound like the definition of a friend." Eiji replied.

"It's complicated." I quickly remark.

"No, you're just making it complicated. Her friend works for Golzine. The head of the Corsican. They stayed friends because she gives the boss info every now and then. She had no idea she would be assigned to hit the doctor's office. It was sheer coincidence. She didn't want to badly hurt her, so she missed on purpose." Kimora explained.

"Yeah, that. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go back to China Town. You're more than welcome to join me." I say, getting up out of the bed.

"At least let someone bandage your wound." Eiji said, pointing out your knee.
