Beyoncé's Pov

I was planning our trip. I decided not to take her to Italy, but to somewhere else. I remember enjoying it the most.  I adjusted my reading glasses and booked our tickets before I heard my phone ringing.

Looking down at it I saw it was my mother. She was probably going to chew me out for not talking to her for the past weekI've just been busy.

I answered it immediately and I had to take the phone away from my ear when she yelled.

"Beyoncé Giselle Knowels we haven't had a conversation in  a week!" She yelled and I sighed. I felt bad.

"I'm sorry! I've been busy!" I said, I also haven't had brunch with her. I've been distracted..

"Busy with what? And yo ass better not say work I want a real reason." She said full attitude.

"I've been hanging out with Onika a lot, getting to know her. Technically you can't get mad me because you said I should."

"Oh well that makes sense..she's been taking up a lot of your time huh? What have you guys been doing?" I didn't catch the tone of her voice so I just flat out told her.

"Well we started talking and really got close, I took her to the state fair even though I hate that place. But I actually had fun with her, Even won her a pet tiger. The other day she seemed to be having a bad morning so I took her to an arcade she said she's never been to one." I said closing my laptop and standing up with my phone in my hand.

"You went to the state fair? The thing you've always got mad at me for taking you to when you were a kid?" She sounded so surprised and I can only imagine the look on her face.

"Yeah—She doesn't like that fancy stuff. Abel helped me understand that not everyone is like him. And I've been really starting to like her." I was free talking, I found myself thinking of her as I was talking.

"Like her as in I might have a daughter in law soon like?" I cut her off quickly.

"Mom no! We're friends, I just like hanging out with her. I can hang out with grown woman without dating them." I said crossing my arms.

"Are you sure Giselle? Think about it, If I asked what you liked about her the most whats the first thing that pops up in your head?" She asked and I immediately knew.

I thought of her smile. It shined bright when she was laughing and happy and I felt a sensation of warmth when it was directed towards me.  I always wanted to make her smile at any chance.

"Her smile." I said absently, I was busy thinking of her to even really notice the little laugh my mom let out.

"That doesn't sound like just a friend Giselle."

"It is Ma," I tried to convince her but as I spoke I sounded like I was just trying to convince myself.
I denied till she left me alone about it and we hung up.

I sighed before falling onto my bed. I thought about Onika. She occupied my thoughts a lot nowadays. Her smile, her sarcasm, the way she looks at me from time to time.

It all made my heart beat just a little bit faster.
I closed my eyes and thought about how nice it feels to just hold her hand. I don't think i've ever had as much fun as I do when i'm with her.

I closed my eyes as I thought about her.

I had a dream in that nap.

A dream of her, it was really just her flashes and memories of her smiling, laughing us goofing off.

She was a beauty.
