Dumb headcanon time o' yeah

For the record, this is purely just an idea I thought would be interesting which turned into a full-fledged headcanon.

This headcanon revolves purely around Gman. (Is there a dash between G and man? Like, G-Man? E h -)

So... What is this headcanon, you may wonder?
It is my headcanon that Gman and Benrey are the same species.
I wasn't the first to come up with this headcanon obviously, but I really liked the idea of it!

So here is some stuff about my headcanon specifically:

-Gman and Benrey have basically the same abilities and reality-bending powers, but obviously, it's very different what they choose to do with them.
-Yes, that also means that Gman knows how to use the Sweet Voice, he's just less expressive with it and if it ever does manifest he tries to hide it.
(I wanna write a fic including this now,,, 👀)

-Oh, and he was also the one who taught Sunkist how to use the Sweet Voice and Tommy how to translate it. The reason Sunkist can use it is that they were created instead of born, so that means no genetic issues.
Tommy on the other hand can't learn how to use it but does appreciate that his dad taught him the translations, he hasn't fully perfected his translation skills yet though.

-Gman didn't know there was anybody else of his species anymore, which is why Benrey made him nervous/slightly afraid.
He was mostly afraid due to the fact that their species can't die under almost any circumstances, plus if in the wrong hands that kind of power could ruin everything.
And yes this means that Gman didn't know about Benrey before they met in Black Mesa.

-Anyway species fact time!
Their species is asexual.
How do they make more? Who the fuck knows I didn't get that far.
They can still partake in those activities, however, but Gman chooses not to.

-All in all, Gman just has way more control of his powers than Benrey, though they still both use them effectively.
I wonder if there's a mentor AU now where Gman teaches Benrey how to control his powers... Probably not lmao-

This formatting was a little different from my other headcanons but that's how it be sometimes.
