Naomi stood in front of the mirror, carefully blending the last touches of her makeup, her lips slightly parted in concentration. The soft hum of music filled the room, but it did little to drown out the growing impatience coming from the hallway.
"Baby, are you almost ready?" Jin called out, his voice carrying just enough firmness to let her know he'd already asked more than once.
Naomi smiled to herself, rolling her eyes playfully. "Yes, baby, I'm almost done," she replied, dragging out the last word just to tease him.
She took one final look at herself—makeup flawless, hair laid perfectly, outfit hugging her frame just right—and nodded in satisfaction. Today wasn't just any day. Today mattered. Not just because they were going out, but because of what she had planned afterward.
She felt a small flutter of excitement in her chest.
Earlier that morning, she'd slipped out quietly before anyone woke up, heading straight for the stores. The memory made her grin slightly. The bags hidden away in her room weren't just random purchases—they were part of a surprise she'd been planning for days.
Something personal.
Something bold.
Something just for them.
She shook the thought away before it could distract her again and made her way into Jin's room, only to pause at the doorway.
He stood in front of his own mirror, focused as he blended concealer into his skin with practiced ease. The soft lighting highlighted his features perfectly, and for a second, Naomi just... watched him.
"You rushing me, but you're not even done yet," she teased, crossing her arms as she leaned against the doorframe.
Jin met her eyes through the mirror instantly, catching the look she was giving him. His lips twitched into the smallest smirk before he turned around fully.
"Nope," he said, pointing toward the bed. "Go sit down."
Naomi frowned. "Jin—"
"Sit," he repeated, firmer this time.
She pouted dramatically but didn't argue further, walking over and flopping onto his bed. "You're bossy," she muttered under her breath.
"I know," he replied easily, already turning back to finish getting ready.
Naomi laid back on her elbows, watching him as he moved around the room. There was something about the way he carried himself—calm, controlled, confident—that always pulled her in.
He grabbed a fitted black t-shirt and slipped it over his head, the fabric hugging his frame just enough to make her stare a little longer than she should've. Then came the black jeans, followed by the leather jacket.
Her breath caught slightly.
Yeah... they all looked good in leather.
Way too good.
"You're staring," Jin said without turning around.
"I'm appreciating," she corrected, sitting up with a grin.
He huffed out a quiet laugh but didn't respond.
Once he finished, he walked over to her and, without warning, scooped her up into his arms. Naomi let out a small sound of surprise before instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Jin!" she laughed. "You didn't even warn me!"
"Didn't need to," he replied, already heading for the door.
