^ Towns Main Street looks a bit like this

George signed of relief as the warm heat met his face that was nearly frozen due to the chilly breeze outside. The brunet looked around the shop to see the familiar colorful shaped candies that filled up the shelves, the smell being a wonderful mix of cinnamon and peppermint.

"George?" The brunets co-worker, Sylvia, spoke, her head slanted slightly and her eyebrows pinched together.

"Hey, Sylvia." George greeted warmly, smiling joyfully at the middle-aged woman.

"What are you doing here? I thought you didn't work today." Sylvia questioned, as she finished opening up the candy shop part of the Minx Café.

(A/N: To explain the Minx Café, basically it's two different shops owned by the same company. The workers work at both locations. Their is an opening that connects both of them as well. It's almost like a gift shop on the side of the cafe!)

"I don't work today. I just stopped by to purchase some candies for myself. It is almost the holidays ya know... today's already December second."

"Oh, alrighty then." Sylvia smiled brightly, "Grab what you'd like. I'll be with you in one minute." Her shoulder-length brown hair swayed behind her as she walked into the cafe with a tray covered with packs of chocolate chip cookies.

George gleamed as he began to shuffle around the candy-filled shelves. The 24-year-old heard the song Silver Bells being played from the speakers above him.

The brown-eyed boy grabbed some candy canes, peppermints, Christmas themed Hershey kisses, and Chocolate Truffles. George also decided to get some candies for building a ginger bread house; it's a tradition of his.

George walked up to the checkout area, Sylvia began to scan the items that he had grabbed. After paying and thanking the girl, George left the Candy shop with the bag of purchased goodies.

George marched through the crowded streets until he arrived at Candycane Lane, more specifically, Ranboo Public Library.

George felt himself smile as he heard the soft chime of the bell above the door go off. There stood a raven-haired boy behind the dark oak desk.

"Good day, George. What brings you here?" The man questioned, handing another customer a bag filled with books.

"I figured I would come and say hi. Well, I also want to add some more books to my collection." George explained, walking towards his friend.

"Sweet. You spending the holidays with anyone?" Sapnap questioned as he leaned down to rest his head on the palms of his hands.

"No. I'm spending the holidays with myself again," George sighed sadly. George wasn't very close with his family and never had many friends even though it was a small town.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. You're going to the dance this year though, right?" Said Sapnap.

George frowned, "I don't think I am. It feels weird going without a date," he explained.

"But last year you promised that you'd go this year," Sapnap whined. "You haven't gone since you and Clay broke up!"

George felt his heart skip a beat at the mention of the blonds name, Sapnap seemed to notice George's attitude change. "You still like him after all these years, don't you?"

George was a bit startled by the question, "Sapnap, it's been three years. Why would I still like him?"

Sapnap rolled his eyes and scoffed, "Then why do you blush whenever I mention him?" He whispered into George's ear, smiling knowingly.

George knew he was lying to himself when he said that he was completely over the forest-eyed boy.

He huffed in annoyance, Sapnap's smile growing even wider. "Besides, you're always welcome at Karl and I's place," Sapnap reminded.

"Sapnap, I'm not barging in on you and your boyfriends favorite holiday. That's time for you guys to enjoy each other's company!" George whined.

"Then stop being a pussy and go ask Clay to go to the gala with you!" Sapnap reasoned.

"No, I'm not doing that!" George argued. "He probably doesn't even like me anymore anyways..." the brunet muttered under his breath.

"I bet he still does," Sapnap spoke in a song-song tone of voice. George groaned, "Whatever! I'm going to find some books," and with that, he left his friend and began to search around the musty smelling building.

'This place smells like it was built in 1970, it's so bad!' George thought to himself as he scanned over the dusty books that sat on the wooden shelves.

George stumbled upon an old copy of the Christmas Carol, he giggled before placing it back on the shelf and proceeded to head towards the check out.

"I see something interested you," Sapnap spoke smoothly. George hummed, setting a small pile of books onto the counter.

"Here ya go. You know the deal, the books are due back in two weeks." Sapnap handed George a bag with the books he checked out.

"I'll Cya around then. Later, Sap." George waved goodbye before walking out the door. He shivered as the frigid air made contact with his skin.

Finally George arrived back his house. The brunet opened his mailbox to see a familiar letter. George knew it was a green and red border because Clay had told him. There was writing in gold that listed George's address and information along with the words, 'Christmas Gala 2021.'

George walked up his driveway and opened the door, quickly shutting it after walking inside. After removing his scarf, jackets, and other accessories to keep him warm, he looked at the letter again.

Dear George Davidson,

The Mayor of Leavenworth has invited you to the 2021 Christmas Gala on December 23. The Christmas Gala is the place to go if you like to dance. Not only is this a good event for dancing, but it's also a great time to meet and catch up with other townspeople. Let's celebrate the holidays together!

  Hope to see you there,
                                           Mayor Tubbo

George read the note even though it's the same message every year. He always had fun going their as a kid, and even when he went with Clay. He always hoped to spot the attractive blond, but he hadn't had any luck...for the one year he went afterwards.

George spend around 15 minutes thinking about how much fun he had hanging around the blond boy. God, he missed Clay.

George then decided to watch the Hallmark channel cheesy love stories to distract himself from the blond in question.
