George picks up the wrapped gift before exiting out of the house. He walks down the path, all the snow nearly gone. When George was about to make it to work when he spotted the girl.

The girl seemed to notice George walk up and her smile grew. "Hello, old man," she waved. George handed her the gift, "hello!"

"Thank you," the girl smiled as she handed her mom the basket of candy canes. The small girl unwrapped the gift, hugging George tightly.

"Thank you. I love it!" George said goodbye to the two ladies before walking the rest of the way to the Minx Café and Candies.

George always hated Monday's. I mean, how doesn't? The brunet walked into the Café, the smell of cinnamon taking over his senses.

George smiled at Sylvia before going into the employees room. He grabbed his apron and name-tag, forming some sort of knot in the back and slipping it on.

'Baa dinggg'  The bell above the door rang. In walked a man with blond hair and green eyes. It was George's boss, Jared. George always thought of his ex when he saw the man.

"Hello, George. How are you doing?" Jared asked as he entered the employees room. George smiled as he wanted to seem a bit more put together, "I'm great, thanks. How are you?"

"Very well actually. I just proposed to my girlfriend of three years!" He exclaimed happily, a large cheesy smile on his face.

"That's great," George encouraged even though part of him was slightly jealous. His boss was only 22 and was gonna get married. Meanwhile, 24-year-old George only had a girlfriend for two months and then Clay for a few years before breaking up because- well, it's rather stupid.

"Thanks," His boss noticed George's odd behavior. The two were decently close. "I'm sure you'll find someone, George." Jared patted George's back before walking towards the bathroom. George felt a bit better at the situation.

George helped a customer who wanted to buy her wife some candies. The brunet gave his suggestions and she thanked them, eventually deciding on homemade chocolates that only the Minx Café and Candies made.

"Hey uh- George," Jared spoke up startling George. "Can I help you?" The blond smiled apologetically.

"Would you mind going to the toy store down the street and buying some toys for the towns annual toy drive? I'll give you some money for it," George thought about it for a second before agreeing to it.

"Of course, I don't mind," George replied simply. Jared smiled before pulling out his wallet and handed George $420.

"Thanks so much. I'll make sure to give you a good Christmas bonus this year. I'll talk to Minx and make sure it's ok." George nodded his head in acknowledgement.

George walked through through the doorway making sure that he didn't walk into the glass door that was open for some reason. 'It's literally freezing out. Why is the door open?'

George pushed the thought aside and walked down the wornout concrete walkway. Instead of awkwardly looking down at the sidewalk and avoiding eye contact with people, George watched people as he passed them.

Some of the most noticeable things he saw were...

One, the girl who he gifted the train set to still handing out candy canes with her mother.

Two, A gay couple holding hands as they walked down the path together.

And Three, A cute guy with blue hair walk past him.

Eventually, the Toys R Us sign came into view. George opened the building to almost immediately notice a familiar blond at the check out area.

George blushed at the sight of the blond. He found himself staring for too long, but he couldn't help it. The brunet quickly looked away when the blond looked up from the book that he was reading realizing that he'd been caught.

George scattered into a nearby aisle. He scanned the shelves as he tried to distract himself from the eyes staring at the back of his head.

He grabbed some barbies, stuffed animals, race cars, legos, and a few other toys. George always loved shopping for toys, or just gifts in general.

George really didn't wanna have to talk to the blond, but he know it was the inevitable. He took a deep breath before waltzing up to the checkout.

George dropped all the items onto the conveyor belt, avoiding eye-contact with the blond. 'Beep, Beep, Beep' George eventually tuned out the aggressive beeping sound, the sound of someone clearing their throat brought him back.

George made a noise of confusion. "Uh- your total is $365.69. Cash, Debit or Credit?" George handed Clay the cash, he felt a tingle go down his spine as he fingers ran across the blond's.

After putting the money in the register, Clay handed George the change. "Thanks for shopping at Toys r Us. Have a great rest of your day." George looked up, quickly regretting it when he felt his face heat up just by looking at the blond.

"fuck," George muttered under his breath. Man, had this guy had a glow-up. His once knotted hair was now slightly longer and a lot curler, it looked 'hot' as George phrased it. His skin was tanner and he got a lot taller since he saw him in highschool. He hadn't realized he was staring until he heard Clay wheeze.

"GggEeorgee," He wheezed, "look, I get that I'm hot, but you can't stand there all day. George scoffed playfully, "You wish, pissbaby," and with that, George left with his bags.

George walked a block or two down the street to the post office. He dropped off the bags of toys into the designated box before heading back to work.

"Welcome back, George." Jared greeted him as a customer squeezed past George and out the door.

"Here the rest of your money," George handed him what was left of the money. Jared smiled at George before putting the money back in his wallet.

"Hey. Your name is George, right?" A man spoke up behind the brunet. George turned around to see one of his co-workers who'd he had never really talked to.

"Yes. And you are?" The man brought up hand up, shaking George's hand. "I'm Wilbur, nice to meet you."

"George, you're free to go if you want. I know it's only been a few hours, but we have plenty of staff. George smiled, he walked into the employees room, taking off the apron and grabbing his things before rushing to the library to tell Sapnap was happened.
