'Click' George pulled the key out of the deadbolt and turned around, beginning to walk down the empty driveway.

(A/N: The reason why George always walks/ doesn't drive is because of his colorblindness)

George was headed towards the towns outdoor performance center. It was basically a giant building that decorated for Christmas, but there's no walls; it's only a roof and support beams.

Why you may ask, well, let me tell ya. Every year the town hosts an event called The Annual Singing Competition, TASC for short.

Basically anyone can enter and go to this place to sign and compete against other people. You can do any song, as long as it's mostly clean; there are children there.

It was normally the second week of December, this years was December 8th, today. George just found out yesterday that Sapnap signed him up to enter.

The winner gets to choose a charity to donate $1,000 (£726.72 for brits) to a charity of their choice as well as earning an additional $500 for themselves. Well, if you win first.

George felt his face go pale when he was informed of  this. Sapnap had to persuade him it wouldn't be that unpleasant.

-time skip to when George is preparing for the competition when he's at the place-

George took a deep calming breath before walking up to the pavilion and heading up to the singers area. He sort of knows what he's doing, he did this with Clay every year while they were dating.

(A/N: idk if I said this, but they dated like 2-3 years and have been separated for 3 years)

The brunet was going to sing a song he wrote called, Thousand years. It meant a lot to him and he worked on it for an extended period of time.

"All signers report to the sign-up table to see when you will perform. Thank you!" The speakers boomed obnoxiously loud.

George admired the pavilion at he walked towards the wooden table. There was snow on the roof with icicles hanging from the sides. There was colorful lights surrounding the place. There was a stage that had a sense of a living room with a fire and a Christmas tree with lots of gifts under it.

"Hello, what's your name?" The lady say behind the wooden table, pen in her righthand with a red and green (A/N: George sees yellow) paper on the table.

"Uh- George," The brunet answered anxiously. Clay wasn't here to calm him down like he normally would.

"It seems that you will be performing after someone named Clay. You will be our 14th performer," She asserted as she handed George a small paper with the details she just told him.

———

"Thank you performers 12, Jack Manifold and Niki" People in the crowd cheered for the two friends who sang the song, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

"Please welcome performer 13, Clay to the stage. He will be singing, 'Everybody loves me'  by OneRepublic.

A blond boy around the height of 6'3 confidently walked out onto the stage with a cheesy grin. He wore a Green Christmas sweater that had a stocking with a 'C' on it, and black sweatpants.
