Amaterasu Akiko P.O.V.

I slide over two contracts to Mikey. "As my father promised, the lease contract for the lower floors. A copy for you and a copy for us" I say. "If you sign them both, you can move your business in whenever you have time" I add. Mikey takes his time to read the contracts as I lean back in my desk chair and drink tea. He signs both then slides one back to me. "Are you looking forward to your engagement party tonight?" Mikey asks. "Not at all" I say. "It's not a bad thing Kikochin" Mikey says. "It just feels wrong" I say. Mikey smiles as he leans back in his chair. "In some ways you are still the same" he says. "Is that a good or a bad thing?" I ask. "A good thing" he says. "What's that?" Mikey asks looking at the hanger with the protection bag hanging on the wall. "Engagement gift from Mitsuya. He won't be able to make it tonight" I say, handing Mikey the card that came with it. "Can I see?" Mikey asks. "Of course" I stand up, walk over and zip open the bag. Revealing a gorgeous silk silver dress, with the same fit as the gold one from my birthday. But this one has long sleeves, with bare shoulders. "He really is good, isn't he?" Mikey asks. "It's beautiful" he adds. "It is, isn't it?" I sigh. "It's gorgeous. I already had Souta send him the biggest bouquet of flowers and the best chocolates in town as he doesn't allow me to pay him for it" I say. "That's why it's a gift, Kikochin" Mikey chuckles as I zip the bag closed again. "How can I accept a gift like that?" I ask, turning around to see that Mikey got up and is beside me now. "Just like that" he says, pulling me into his arms. I sigh softly, wrapping my arms around his waist. "You're going to be alright" Mikey whispers, pressing a kiss against my head. "Am I though?" I ask leaning my head against his shoulder. "You are. Look where you are now. Hasn't your life been good the last ten years?" Mikey asks as I feel his hand on the back of my head. "It has been" I mumble. "It'll be good from now on too. How many woman can say they have a concubine huh?" Mikey asks amused and I can't help but chuckle as well. "You're an ass" I say.

"You look gorgeous as always Hime-sama" I turn to face another Yakuza family head. "Thank you" I say. "Who is the designer? My daughter is pretty jealous, she told me at your birthday party" he says. "An old friend of mine. Because of that he makes special dresses for me" I say smiling and wink. "But I'll give her the address of his store" I say. I won't. I don't like this guy and he always smells bad. "Congratulations on your engagement, I didn't know you were seeing anyone. How did you meet him?" The guy asks. Ah so the rumors have started. I bet you started them because I rejected your son. "I met him over ten years ago, I think" I say, tilting my head slightly. "Yeah. We used to hang out, I hadn't seen him for so long and a while back we bumped into each other again and well here we are" I say smiling. "But you were on my birthday party right?" I ask. "Oh yes, I saw you dance with him but I've never seen him before" The guy says. "Excuse me" I look up when I feel a hand on my lower back and see Ran beside me. "Would you mind if I steal my fiancé?" Ran asks with a slight smile. "Excuse me" I say to the guy and quickly walk with Ran. "Thank you" I say softly. "It's what I'm here for" he answers.  I stop walking and Ran turns slightly to look at me. "Are you enjoying yourself?" I ask. "You mean at the party?" Ran asks. "Yes" I answer. "It's alright. It's not as much fun as your birthday party was" he says and I smile. "Are you alright?" Ran asks, stroking a escaped strand of hair behind my ear. "I'm getting used to the idea" I say smiling. "You worry too much" Ran says pressing a kiss on my head. "What are you doing?" I ask embarrassed. "We're in love remember?" Ran says. I roll my eyes and smile.  "Ah good, here you are" we both look up to see Ichiro popping up. "Otosama" I say smiling. Ichiro inhales deeply as he looks at me. "Why do I have such a beautiful daughter?" He asks, taking my chin in his hand and I smile brightly. "Oh that's right, she had a beautiful mom" Ichiro winks. "You better watch out when you get daughters" Ichiro says looking at Ran, who smiles in return.

Ran sits down beside me. "Are you alright?" He asks. "Yes, just tired and my feet hurt. I'll be glad when I'm at home and in bed" I say, with a slight smile before looking at him. "You're doing good" I say softly. "It's not hard." Ran says. "Like I said before, you're a beautiful woman. That makes this easy" he adds before pressing a kiss against my temple. "Heading home?" I ask. "Rindou and I booked a room. We knew we would be drinking alcohol so it was just easier" he says. I smile slightly. "You can come upstairs you know" Ran says winking. I chuckle. "Nice try, we're not married yet" I say. "Hm you can't blame me for trying" Ran says. "I'm not" I say amused. Ran turns my head toward him, pressing his lips softly against mine. I have no choice but to kiss back, as we're still in the lobby of the hotel. "You should move in your stuff" I say as our lips part. "Hmm?" Ran asks. "We're getting our own wing of the mansion. I don't know how much stuff you have, but if it's up to my family, we're getting married in a couple of weeks" I say. "It'll be a pain to move everything afterwards in a rush" I add. "Rindou can move in as well of course, if that's what you want. You should talk to Souta-kun. He'll arrange help" I say. Ran smiles. "I'll make arrangements" he says. Ran kisses me again and of course I kiss back. "Good night. Anata" he says standing up. "Sleep well" I say and watch him walk toward Rindou. I nod as another guest from the party walks by as he leaves. "Ready?" Ichiro asks as he walks up. "Yes. Where is Ojiisama?" I ask. "He's waiting in the car" Ichiro says, then offers me a hand to help me get up. I groan softly when I do. "You're almost in the car, you can take off your shoes there" he says. "Yes" I groan as I walk with him, my arm wrapped around his. As soon as I'm in the car I take off my heels and slouch down. I groan softly, bending and stretching my feet. "That tired?" Grandfather asks. "Aren't you?" I ask in return. "Yes, but today was a good day. I'm proud of you" grandfather says, making me smile.
