I heard loud noises. I heard sirens. I felt pain in my chest. "Where...ambulance..." I heard. {What happened? I can't move.} "Brent you have... breath for her ...," I heard.
"Beverly...come ...wake up..." I heard.
...unresponsive....
...unresponsive...
Brent point of view
We were finally at the hospital. Beverly was rushed to surgery. I told everyone to not to say anything to the media. They agreed with me. I tried to respect my sister privacy since she came to this kingdom. I was so scared for her. Her heart stopped four times on the way to the hospital. I saw Lana coming towards me with a cup of coffee.
"You should get cleaned up a bit," she said. I looked down at myself. I had blood all over my shirt. It was Beverly's blood. I quickly made my way to the restroom and cleaned my hands and face. I went out and waiting outside the operation room with Lana.
6 hours later....
The doors open and Beverly was being wheeled off to the recovery room. The doctor came to me. "She had many injuries. All her ribs were fractured, fractured left arm, and both her legs are broken luckily at one place. She won't have scars from the operation," he said. "What about her condition?" I asked.
"She is currently in a coma. I don't know how long though. Hopefully very soon. Sooner she wakes up, the better her recovery will be," he said. "Thank you doctor," I said. "You may go see her for now," he said and left us.
Lana and I walked into the dark room to see Beverly. She was so pale due to the blood loss. Her whole body was casted in bandages. She looked even more fragile than before. I just want her to hang on to life.
"Who would do such a thing?" Lana asked worried. I thought about everything. Beverly had told me everything about what had happen since she was disowned from our family. When I thought more about it, the timing was perfect in a way.
First, she was kicked out of Sanct Sybil and broke off the engagement. This happened when Sofia was there. Second, Sofia's publicity with the Crown Prince. Lastly, the ball at Nobel Michel. I read an article that the Crown Prince went to the ball with Sofia.
It was making total sense to me. Sofia was at the center of everything. I needed to research more deeper. {Did Sofia have a motive for doing all of this? I needed to make contacts with people in Sanct Sybil.}
Lana and I went back home. I took a shower and went to sleep.
Next morning....
I made sure that no news came out about Beverly's accident. I was in her room with my laptop open for research. She hadn't woken up from the coma. Lana said that she would come by later in the day to watch her while I rest.
I thought that I should make contact with a buddy of mine John who was in Sanct Sybil. I picked up my phone to make a phone call to him.
ring....Ring.....
"Hello?" I heard. "Hey this is Brent," I said to him. "Oh long time no see. How are you?" I heard. "Fine. I wanted to get some information about Sofia Kozar," I said to him. "Why?" I heard. "Are you able to keep a secret?" I asked him. "Of course. You know me," he said. I knew that he could keep a secret.
"You know Beverly Melrone, right?" I asked him. "Of course. Everyone in the kingdom knows about her," he said. "You know that she is my sister right," I said to him. "Really? Well you both look similar to each other," he said. I explained the suspicion that I had with Sofia Kozar and Beverly's condition. The timing was a bit too perfect.
"I see," he said. "You think you can help me?" I asked him. "Leave it to me. I would be able to dig up things here," he said. I told him that I wanted to know the kinds of connections she had in Sanct Sybil in order to figure out a motive. I had a feeling that she wants to be the princess.
I hung up and continued my research. I looked over to Beverly. She hadn't responded to anything. I would speak with her about what was going on so far. I really hope that she would wake up soon, so that she could live her life again.
