This isn't Goodbye🥀

Day 5.

This was it. I'm never gonna feel this again. It was the end of my journey here. I never wanted to leave, but I had to. All because if my mother's job. It's been a pleasure.

"I don't want to leave"

(Y/N) sobbed onto Irra's shoulder. She didn't want to leave Hogwarts. She couldn't bear with the idea that she had to leave. Students from her year were now surrounding her, saying their goodbyes and handing her letters. This was hard. She has always seen Hogwarts as her home, her happy place. It was heartbreaking for her at the moment. She balled her eyes out as she was being comforted by her friends who were at the verge if tearing up as well.

"It's okay. You'll still visit us, right"

Irra said, tears forming in her eyes as well. Her and (Y/N) had been really close friends since first year. They met during the train ride when Irra had nowhere to sit, (Y/N) happily let her sit with her.

Gifts piled up around her, being handed by the boys who were fighting about who actually bought the gifts. She couldn't help but chuckle a little, yet that didn't stop her tears.

"this is my happy place, Jane. I don't want to leave"

(Y/N) tried to say. Her voice was soft. Her eyes were teary and her nose was red.

"Oh my god, please don't cry. Your eyes are so... oh god"

Emily said, fixing (Y/N)'s hair.

"it's gonna be fine. We're gonna keep contact aren't we?"

(Y/N) nodded as she couldn't bring herself to say something. She doesn't want to leave. She never wanted to. Hogwarts was the inly place where she was truly happy, where her true self shows. Hogwarts was a place where she found comfort and happiness. It was a place where the smile on her face never dies. She just feels naturally happy without even trying.

"hey, you still need to achive your goal of giving Snape a high-five"

Karina said, trying to calm her down. She smiled as you remembered your goal. As it is her last day, she is gonna do it, no matter how embarassing it will be.

"I'm gonna do it"

Karina chuckles and lifted her up.

"come on then!"

She grabbed (Y/N)'s wrist and dragged her all the way to Snape's office. Karina gave her an approving nod and walked off. (Y/N) knocked on the oak door of his office, her legs were shaking.

"Miss (L/N)"

He said, as his eyes landed on (Y/N). He noticed that her eyes were red and puffy, yet there was a smile on her face. He wondered what was she crying about for, he may not admit it but he had grown fond of her cheerful spirit.

"hi"

(Y/N)'s voice was soft, not wanting Snape to notice the shaking in her voice.

"um... it's my last day here today and I just wanted to get a high-five from you... if you're fine with that"

Snape froze as soon as she said that it was her last day at Hogwarts. His frown grew (if that's even possible). No wonder she was crying. He knew how much she loves Hogwarts. She even calles it her home, her happy place. A place where she was always truly happy.

He held out his hand, and gave the girl a nod and a small smile that he could muster. (Y/N) smiled and lifted her hand to give Snape the high-five she wanted.
As soon as her hand landed on his, he wrapped his hand around hers and pulled her into a hug. He didn't know why he did it, it just felt like the right thing to do at the moment.

(Y/N) froze in shock. Snape never hugs anyone, well she never saw him hug anyone. She slowly wrapped her arms around his torso as she cried onto his chest, hugging him tightly. He rubs her back gently and pats her on the head.

"I'll miss you sir"

She sobbed.

Snape was shock to hear those words from her. No one ever missed him and knowing that she'll miss him makes him feel special. Slowly, tears formed in his eyes as well.

"I'll miss you too, (Y/N)"

You smiled as you heard those words from him.

"i have to tell you one thing before i go sir"

"what is it?"

"i love you"

(Y/N) regreted it as soon as those words came out of her mouth. She wished she has a time turner so she could turn back time and take those back. But she couldn't. She said it and she has to deal with it.

On the other hand, Snape wanted to squeal like a girl.

"I'm sorry sir, I-"

She tried apologizing but Snape cut her off. He shocked her with the next thing he said.

"I love you too"

So recently I have been feeling down as I had my last day at my Secondary school as I have to transfer due to my Mom's job.

It's hard to leave a place that I once called home. The school will and always be my home and my happy place. Hopefully when I grow up I will be able to teach there as the school has gave me all the happiness and support that I need. I will remember every memories I have made. No matter where I go, I'll always find my way back to you.

I couldn't imagine my teenage life without going to that place. Even though I have left the place, my heart will remain there forever.
