Chapter 17

Costello's Perspective:

One Week Later......

I've been at the punching bag for an hour now, trying to let out me and my Wolf's frustration but so far it hasn't made a difference. I'm so mad at myself for several reasons.

The fact that I was so easily fooled by Maddie into going for a walk, which was apart of her plan for getting out of here. The fact that I carelessly had four thousand dollars sitting in my wardrobe, under a pair of shorts. Assuming Maddie was so spellbound by me, and that's why she was kissing me back so intensely less then a minute before she flew up.

Not listening to my Wolf telling me over and over again to be more stern with her and to mark Maddie already. See this is the thing, I realize that if I marked Maddie without her consent, it'd be a mean thing to do.

But this is the other thing, once you Mark your Mate you can find them anywhere in the world. Even if they apply a spell upon themselves. Something will pull you to the area that they are in.

For example, even if Madeline was in Antarctica, and I was here, I could somehow sense that she was there. So she could run away a thousand times, but it'd be pointless cause I'd find her every time. And that'd be really helpful right now, since I have no fucking idea where she is.

I've sent many of my men, that reside around the continent, a picture of her, and a jar of the potion, that Ersa and Maddie's Mom have made together, over twenty five times for us now. I've told my Men to go visit whatever city is near by each day. And to search, and that if they do find her, to capture Maddie. Take her to The Pack Grounds and lock her up in one of the rooms. And that I'll reach them within a day.

As a reward of finding Maddie, I've given half a year off of duty to who ever finds her. That's definitely kept my men motivated.

I'm so grateful to have gotten a Mother in law so supportive. This whole thing would've been a lot worse if Maddie's mother hadn't ever had a Wolf as a Mate herself.

I'm pretty sure that Maddie's unaware of the fact that I have Pack Grounds all across North America. So if she didn't leave the continent then I'm in luck. But if she did then it's going to be near impossible to find her.

I'm still punching the bag when Charles walks in to my personal gym chanting "Rocky Rocky Rocky" I look at him irritated "Please don't. And what are you doing here anyways? This is my personal gym for a reason."

Charles laughs ""First of all, what kind of way us that to talk to your best friend? And second I was just bored, I already ate what I wanted, from the kitchen. Then I tried looking for your secret diary, so I could read it and make fun of you, but I found nothing."

I start raking my gloves off, and moving towards the bench I have in my gym "I don't have a secret diary." Charles looks at me with an obvious expression "I know, that's what I'm saying, I couldn't find one." I shake my head at Charles "Why is this happening to me?"

Charles has an optimistic smile "Maybe this first time in between you and Luna is supposed to be terrible, because the good part isn't just gonna be good, it's gonna be phenomenal." I shrug my shoulders, then say "She'll hate me forever, once I mark her."

Charles has a serious expression now "Costello, you're never gonna have any power in that anyways, once you see her, your Wolf will take control, and mark her anyways. And the other thing is, the whole pack knows now. Like Continent Wide so everyone's gonna be expecting a ceremony, and a Luna has to be marked before a Ceremony so if you tell her the truth about that maybe she'll take it a bit better."

I look at Charles. Shake my head "The only way she'll take it, is that I'm the Great Villian of her entire life." Charles shakes his head "Trust me. It won't be that way. Once she starts feeling those intense feelings of adoration and deep connection towards you, it'll be like the date you guys went on."

I put my face in my hands. And speak behind them "You really think so?" Charles nods his head "Definitely, but it'll take a while."

Charles suddenly says "I am a little worried about the Ceremony and how Luna Madeline will behave. I mean she might do something outrageous."

I look at Charles "She'll have no powers. So what could she do?" Charles looks at me like I'm stupid "She still has her tongue. She could say something crazy. I mean a day or two after the Ceremony, The Council comes to evaluate you both as a couple, and obviously I know you wanna get a good report."

I nod to Charles in understanding "I wish it was all different. She was from born and raised in a Werewolf Community. She honoured me like I honour her." Charles looks at me sadly "Don't wish that. This is how it's supposed to be." He laughs "And admit it, it is really cool that our Luna can fly and call animals to herself."

I smile "Yeah that is cool. What are you up to today?" Charles says "I'm taking you out on a date."

I ask "Where? Charles chuckles "Lets go into the City."

I think about it for a minute, it's not like me moping around is gonna make me magically find Madeline "Alright, let me shower first."

Charles puts his fist in the air "Yessss."
