Chapter 2

You had finally settled in and school was starting in a few days. You talked to Dave over pesterchum a lot, and some of your other friends. Today You would meet them, at the park. You walked outside, wearing a (F/C) shirt, and some jeans, with your favorite shoes. You wore a small necklace that had a gem on the ends of the chains. Your parents had given it to you. Outside today was beautiful. No clouds, a beautiful sky, and a calming breeze.
You walked down the sidewalk, careful to know your surroundings. You didn't want to get lost. Soon you found the park, not too far away. No one was near the entrance. So you went down the path into the woods, that was the only real option there.
The woods freaked you out. They didn't seem.. "normal." You hoped you'd get out of there soon.
After what seemed like forever of walking you got to a clearing, and everyone was there.
Dave, John, Rose, Jade, ️Karkat.. No one else. These were the people who usually talked to you. You of course talked to other people, but they were your best friends.
After sharing a few hugs, and angry remarks, you guys talked about things. Dave had told them about your parents before hand so nothing would happen. You let him.
"So, what's the school like around here..?" You asked, somewhat unsure of the school.
"It's seriously just called alternia highschool. The mayor(not mayor, Andrew Hussie. OwO) didn't feel like making a cool name, so he named it after the town," Rose rolled her eyes.
"There are some friendly faces and mean people," John pointed out.
Jade pouted. "I'm homeschooled."
"Yeah. It's better than our school," Dave leaned against a tree.
️Karkat didn't say anything.

( Later that week at school )
You had gotten through the day, not getting any insults. Day 1 was already a good day. Then study hall/free time came, your last period. When you can do whatever you want? Yeah. You went to your locker to grab your phone, you didn't keep it with you in class. You texted by your locker, posting on your favorite websites.
Then she walked up.
She had long black hair and was standing taller than you, right in front of you.
"May I help you..?" You said, feeling intimidated by her.
"Whatever your name is, listen here, you have no place in this school and I'll make sure you feel that way." The group behind her nodded. "You're a useless jerk who just suddenly decided to come to MY school. I'll make sure you regret coming here. You know that you're useless and that you're idiotic. Don't go crying and tell anyone."
She left you sitting there, eyes widened, and filled with sorrow.
The bell rang. You had kept it in. All the sadness and anger and.. Just everything. Dave tried to stop you on your way out of school.
"(Y/N)..!" You ran past him, feeling the tears.
The words "useless" and "idiotic" ran through your brain. The same insults came here.
You locked yourself in your apartment, and took a knife out. You stared at it and made a cut into your arm. And a few more. After a while the door was knocked on. You put on a (F/C) hoodie, covering your arms and opened the door teary eyed.
There was Dave and ️Karkat.
️Karkat..? I guess he lived close.
"What happened, (Y/N)?" Dave looked into your eyes, making you want to tell him. You wouldn't.
"Nothing. I, uh, just wanted to get home. Homework," you faked a smile.
"Mhm...," Dave looked at you questioningly.
"SHE SAID SHE HAS HOMEWORK LETS LET HER DO THAT CRAP," ️Karkat yelled, the noise echoing down the hall and into your apartment.
"Ok gosh," Dave and ️Karkat walked off.
️Karkat across the hall, and Dave in the apartment next to yours.
You shut the door. You cleaned up the kitchen.
Today went terrible.
