UA's Immortal Bodyguard

Aizawa's plan

A/N sorry if the names get messy in this, I'm probably going to be calling them by their different names depending on the situation sooo forgive me 😅

Shota wakes up to a human cockatoo yelling at him that breakfast is ready. He, being the responsible adult he is, goes back to sleep in an attempt to block out the world before he has to deal with it. Instead the human cockatoo, having dealt with this song and dance before, decided that he was no longer allowed to reside in the safe haven of his bed and dragged him out by the legs. Like every other morning Shota just let's this happen, too tired to even try to object.

Hizashi drops him into his chair before trapping him with breakfast which Shota begrudgingly eats though he is slightly grateful for it since he has a meeting with Nezu that day.

After finishing the meal and thanking Hizashi he starts to make his way to UA (Hizashi said that he'll meet him there). For no real reason he decides to walk making sure to make a detour to his favourite coffee shop, he wouldn't be able to function otherwise. After making his way in he noticed a teenager with green hair which immediately reminded him of the vigilante guy he met the day before. 'I should probably talk to Nezu about that guy, I am almost 100% sure that he's a kid plus what he said was concerning and I can't just let that go. Not to mention he's a good fighter, he'd be a good ally'. Shota bought his coffee and then spent the rest of his walk to the school sipping on his coffee while trying to figure out ways that he could try to get more information about the kid.

"Ah, Aizawa hello take a seat" Nezu said with his signature smile. "Mornin'" Aizawa says still wishing that he could have stayed in bed. "So let's talk about the coming school year shall we?"

Aizawa mostly zoned out of the meeting since the same happened every year he does make sure to say how stupid the exam the first years have to take is as per the yearly tradition. Nezu also announces that All Might would be joining the school to which Aizawa asks if All Might could really teach which Nezu just answers with nothing but a smile. Finally the end of the meeting comes around and at this point he's drained, being in the same room as midnight and present mic does get tiring after all but he still decides to have that talk with Nezu, tired or not he wants to have a plan of action as soon as possible.

"Hey Nezu, I want to talk about something preferably alone" he says glaring at Midnight who wanted to get in on whatever Aizawa wanted to talk about. "Awwww come on Aizawa why can't I be here for this?" She says with the least convincing puppy dog eyes on the planet. "Out." Aizawa said sternly, too tired to do much else. Midnight pouts "fine..." and walks out, closing the door behind her.

"So what do you need Aizawa?" Nezu asks when they're finally alone.

"I need some help with a case I've been assigned. Have you ever heard of Deku"

"Of course he's one of the most infamous bodyguard and vigilante around!"

"Well that's the case I have been assigned even though I know he isn't doing any real harm, but I have some other concerns..."

"go on..."

"The first is that he looks and sounds young, like definitely not out of high school young, maybe even middle school... the second is something he said to me. He said 'it would be a miracle if I actually managed to get hurt with my stupid quirk' which leads me to my theory that his quirk involves some kind of incredible regeneration but he can also move at incredible speeds and his punches are also way stronger than the average person if some of the damage after one of his fights is anything to go by... but that still isn't my biggest concern..." Nezu remained silent. "My biggest concern is that he sounded so sad that his quirk heals him without him trying. Sure maybe after a century or two it would start weighing on you but from the fact that he's new to his business he's probably not had his quirk for long, which got me thinking. How does he know he can't die? How does he know that no matter how hurt he gets he will always come back... Nezu I think he's died way more than once and not just on accident..."

"you think this young one has been committing suicide?"

"I wouldn't be surprised but this also brings up another problem, what if villains get a hold of him?"

"Aizawa you want to help him don't you?" Aizawa looks to the ground.

"Yeah I do, if he really is feeling that way it should be my job as a hero to help."

"So what do you need? Is there anything I can do?"

"I don't know, I was hoping you would have some ideas" Aizawa said looking back at Nezu.

"I do actually" Aizawa showed a rare burst of energy.

"Really? What?"

"We hire him here at UA we could ask him if he would be a bodyguard for the school and if he's up for it, to help in some classes too." Nezu smiled as he revealed his master plan

"Would you really do that?"

"Of course, I don't like the idea of an immortal child running around trying to die either."

Aizawa almost felt like crying, almost despite often being harsh to the kids under his care, he did have a soft spot for them. It's almost the reason he's so harsh beside him always being tired. If they don't have potential and he passed them then they would either be stuck in a dead end or end up dying when they might have found a field better suited for them, on the other hand if they did have potential then he would be tough on them to make them the very best they could be, able to take on any threat and live to tell the tale. Needless to say if Deku was taken under his wing he would be the latter. Plus he would finally be doing his work legally which was an added bonus.

On his way home Aizawa started planning how he was going to get Deku to join UA. He thought through many different plans one of which being straight up kidnapping him but that idea got scrapped after a second of consideration. Eventually he settled with just asking like a normal person and ditched all the convoluted plans he had made, those can be a plan b.
