"Oh, Emily." Penelope said softly, her arms falling to go limp on both sides. "JJ. I- uh-" She stepped forward to stand infront of the two women.

"Pen." Emilysmiled, pulling the shorter girl into a tight hug."We missed you so much. Thank you for inviting us." Puling away, she gave JJ the space to also give Penelope a warm embrace. Her dark eyes finally flickered to meet everyone else's, who were simply just gazing upon the pair as if they were some sort of freak show. "Spencer. Derek. Elle." She looked over at Tara, flashing her a weak smile. The two of them had never been especially close.

The younger boy, unresponsive, stalked into the house without any hestitation, his boyriend followed suite.

"Emily." Elle nodded, sticking her hand out for the brunette to shake it. Emily was very thrown off by all of their behavior, but especially at Elle's coldness, Spencer's lack of response, and Penelope's awkwardness. It wasn't anything she hadn't expected, but she also didn't realize how bad it was going to hurt.

She shook the other girl's hand, looking down to make eye contact with her. "How have you been?" Elle shrugged slightly, looking over at Tara who was watching the scene lay out infront of her. Elle didn't want to come off as rude or abrasive, but she wasn't exactly in the mood to be having a conversation with Emily Prentiss. Even if they had made up after the breakup of their short relationship, there was no returning some ties that had been cut off meanwhile.

"Uh-come on." Penelope looked at all of them as she grabbed their bags from the back of the taxi. "I'll show you to your room for the night. It's uh, adjacent to Spence and Derek's. You'll have time to explain, Em. To all of us."

The brunette nodded slightly, taking their bags from her friend. JJ was standing in shock at everyone's behavior, she hadn't moved an inch since Spencer stormed back into the house and Elle refused to look at her. It was understandable. Elle was supposed to be JJ's best friend, and she hadn't spoke to her in 3 years. She hadn't even attended her graduation ceremony.

Shaking her head to rid the thoughts, the blonde stepped forward to help her girlfriend carry their luggage into the warm cabin. It was a neat little cabin, very homey and cosy. Emily wondered if it was something that Penelope owned or if she had rented it for the occasion. Instead of asking, she walked behind her friend quietly, her eyes scanning the walls as they made their way into a hallway that led to a large room.

It was a nice room, a giant bed with plenty of space for the two girls. In fact, JJ wondered if it was bigger than their bedroom back home in their tiny New York apartment. It was completely possible, despite their outrageous monthly rent. Not that it was something they necessarily had to think too much about, combined with Emily's trust fund and both of their salaries.

"Here, yeah. Um. Uh, we'll be cooking in an hour outback. You can come back there with me now, or... settle in. I missed you guys." Penelope stared at them, her wide eyes full of tears. "Why did you have to go and do that?"

Emily began to speak, but quickly shut her mouth as she cast a glance over at JJ, who was biting her lip to prevent her own tears from spilling down her face. "Pen, I-" She paused, reaching her hand forward to grab the other girl's, smiling briefly at her. "We missed you too. We... talked about you so much," she felt guilty lying. To be completely honest, Emily hadn't really thought about her in over a year until they got that letter a couple weeks ago, and then they all consumed her mind.

Penelope nodded slightly, swallowing heavily as she shook her head. "I'll see you guys out there. I hope you know I'm the only one that's not completely pissed off at you." She chuckled slightly, causing a smile to crack out on the couple's face although it wasn't entirely funny.
