Chapter 2

CORAL

They transformed into those big ugly monsters we call Laestrygonians, holding different sizes of clubs in their hands which they were probably gonna use to beat the shit out of us.
“Give it to us” one of them said
“Give you what?” I asked
“Don’t act so clueless daughter of Poseidon, we sensed it near you, give it to us or you all will die” another one said and charged. I dodged his attack as he fell onto one of his teammates.
We were surrounded. “We got no other choice” said Percy
“So we fight?” I asked
“We fight” Annabeth agreed as she unsheathed her dagger, Percy uncapped Riptide and I tossed my ring into the air and gripped it tight as it fell back into my hand in the form of a sword and we charged with a battle cry.

First few of them were easy to kill. I mean we had fought Titans and a literal Primordial Goddess killing these laestrygonians was a piece of cake for us but not when more of them started appearing. I dodged one as it charged at me, it’s club raised and let him fall on the ground and then stabbed it in the back, watching it turn into a pile of dust. I could see Percy and Annabeth from the corner of my eyes fighting them, blood flowing from his leg. Fuck, he was wounded. I charged at one of the laestrygonians that was about to attack Annabeth from the back while she was unaware.

“Give it to us and none of you will die!” the one fighting Annabeth screamed
“We still don’t fucking know what do you want from us” I screamed back. Usually Annabeth would correct me for my language but I guess it didn’t matter right now.
“THE OMNIFELVELTINE” the laestrygonian screamed
“The what now?” I said confused but Annabeth filled me in on the details
“The omnifelveltine is a creature that has the face of a lion and the body of a horse. Whoever sacrifices this creature in fire will not only have power over the gods but also the power of wiping every last human” she explained
“Sounds an awful lot like the ophiotaurus doesn’t it. Man, don’t tell me there’s gonna be another war. I'm tired of watching people die.” I said by now Percy was standing beside me.
“Enough chit chat let’s finish you off” one of the 4 remaining laestrygonians said and charged.

As I stabbed the third laestrygonian I turned, only to see the most beautiful creature, it’s body was that of a horse with golden skin and it’s head was that of a lion. It stopped for a minute to look at me it’s eyes pleading. I was so mesmerized I had forgotten about the last laestrygonian.
“Coral! Watch out!” Percy screamed.
I turned around to see the laestrygonian running towards me. I was almost sure I was going to die but Percy managed to stab it right in time and fell to the ground holding his wounded leg wincing in pain.
“There must be some ambrosia in the car. Coral go get it” I nodded as Annabeth sat down next to Percy. I ran towards the car and started looking for it.
“There!” I half screamed when I saw the bottle and ran back to Percy and Annabeth and gave him the ambrosia.
“Let’s get you back in the car,” Annabeth said once Percy had drunk the ambrosia and his wounds had started to heal. We helped him back to the car and cleaned the blood.
“Ah this one’s gonna leave a nasty scar” I said as i bandaged his leg
“Ehhh I've had worse,” Percy said, shrugging.
“Why did you suddenly stop mid fight?” Annabeth asked looking at me
“It’s because i saw it there” I said pointing towards the ocean only to see it was gone
“Saw what there?” Percy asked confused
“The Omnifelveltine” I replied.

The omnifelveltine does not exist in the actual Greek mythology, this is a creature that has been created purely by my own imagination.
