Chapter 7

CORAL

Chiron had Argus leave us to the train station, from where we were supposed to board a train for Las Vegas.

"Ahh thanks Argus, tell Chiron we'll try to be safe" I said as we waved him goodbye.
"Where are we going again?" Ciera asked .
"Well, Chiron told me before we left that he had consulted all the dryads, naiads, aurae and satyrs of the whereabouts of the omnifelveltine and he said that it was last spotted somewhere in Vegas", I said remembering my conversation with Chiron earlier.

"Ahh, the omnifelveltine being in Vegas is understandable, I mean after all Vegas is known for housing some of the most mythical creatures among the demigods" Ciera replied.
"Ehh, does it really matter where the omnifelveltine is right now? We gotta find it, so LET'S GO!! VEGAS!HERE I COME" Lilianah half screamed"
"Okay okay calm down will you" I said laughing, "let's go board the train"

We were supposed to take the Amtrak straight to Vegas, but due to some conditions the train wasn't going to be available for the next few days.
"Urghhh now what? That was our only way to get to Vegas, unless you wanna board a flight?" Lils asked carefully.
"Lils no, you know what Zeus will do if i try air transport, we might as well end up dead before the main part of the quest even begins" I said
"But we're literally just doing this to save them, we could just let the world end, why can't that old hag be a little sympathetic" Lils said and thunder boomed across the sky.
"Language Lils, you don't wanna become a living toast now do you?" Ciera corrected her, while I was dying of laughter.
"Okay okay" i said trying to catch my breath "right now let's worry about how we're going to get there"
"We could change trains, like i know it would take a lot of time before we can actually reach Vegas, but that's the best we can do right now" Ciera said.
"Damn, Ciera, that's genius, so for which station do we board right now?" I asked
"Uhh according to the map boarding a train to East Stroudsburg will be good right now, it's almost noon, it'll take us at least 4 hours to reach, we'll get to spend the night somewhere" Ciera said.
"Yesss, let's fucking gooo" Lilianah said punching the air with enthusiasm.

We boarded the train to East Stroudsburg, we had to wait 15 minutes before the train actually left.
"Yo, don't those crows look kinda sus?" i say as i look out of the window "they've been following the train for quite some time now"
"They're probably just going to some place too, don't put too much thought into it" Ciera said as she offered me an apple.
"Hmmm, I guess I'm overthinking," I said.

The rest of the journey was quiet and peaceful, but well let's just say the peace didn't last long enough.
"Ahhhhh" I said stretching "this was the most peaceful journey I've had in a while now."
"Shhhh, stop jinxing it" Lilianah shushed me.
"Uhhhh... guys?" Ciera called out to us
"Yea? what happened?" I asked.
"Look," she said, pointing to the trees above us.

There were at least 30 harpies looking down on us, waiting to attack. One of them let out a loud shriek and they swooped down on us all together.
