Nicole creased her forehead. "Not Jeremy or Robin. If it's one of them."

"What's the alternative Sheriff Haught?" Wynonna replied. "Let Waverly rot in some stinking hellhole of a jail. Even if it is, they'll know we're onto them, flush them out."

"I don't know. I honestly don't know anymore. Okay, okay, we go to Jeremy."

Nicole pulled out Waverly's phone, remembering her birthday was the passcode, heart hurting to think Waverly was caught up in this. All Waverly wanted was to be recognised for her love of history, her passion for that which had passed, thinking the world was fair and just, would welcome her endeavours with open arms, would praise her for the hard work she put into bringing back to life that which had been hidden by sand for thousands of years.

"Waves," Jeremy said, answering his phone. "We're heading to the market."

"It's Nicole. We know who Bijea is."

"What? Sorry, did you say bijea?"

"Someone is feeding information to whoever raided the tomb."

"Why are you on Waverly's phone?"

"Because she's been arrested for supposedly being that someone."

"She wouldn't, not Waverly."

"The investigators think differently."

"Where are you?"

"Near the temple."

"Robin and I can come to you. Give us half an hour, we'll meet you there."

Wynonna and Nicole were outside the temple as Jeremy hurried towards them followed by Robin, the group finding a quiet café in one of the side streets. "It doesn't make sense," Jeremy began. "Not Waverly. How on earth could she have done this?"

"She didn't," Nicole replied. "She's being set up by someone who goes by the name of Bijea."

Robin snorted. "A villain who calls themselves a swan. Really?"

"That's all we have. That and everyone wants to get their hands on something they think is red mercury."

Robin rolled his eyes. "This is the trouble with what we do. So many have no clue what is real and what is fantasy."

"Except someone is prepared to offer three million dollars for it."

"And, you wonder why tombs get raided."

"How do we get her out?"

Robin shrugged. "Corruption is a huge problem here. There's no telling who's involved. If they've arrested Waverly I'm guessing the investigators aren't as clean as we'd like them to be. I'd say Robert is our best bet."

Nicole shook her head. "He wasn't much help at the police station."

"The Embassy is our only hope," Jeremy offered.

"Which is in Cairo," Nicole replied. "Although, a call to them might be worth a try. What about the university?"

"What about it?" Robin said, giving Nicole his now familiar quizzical look.

"This is one of their projects. One of their team is being accused of something she didn't do. Surely someone at the university can help us."

"She's got a point," Jeremy replied. "I can ring them if you like. Although, going behind Robert's back feels wrong."

"As opposed to Waverly spending time in jail."

"Good point. I'll call them."

Nicole pulled out her phone, searching for the number of the American embassy, listening to an annoying piece of music being played on continuous loop, a woman eventually answering. "You've reached the American Embassy."
