being a bitch

"it's cool, never know when you need to help a random dude from dying, eh?"

IT'S FUNNY HOW quickly someone can change from fun to crazy. at first glimps, jj seemed like a nice boy with some-what flirting abilities. but that all changed since he was holding a gun to someone's head.

"jj put the gun down!" sarah cameron shouted at the blonde. braeden only just found out that sarah has a boyfriend called topper thornton, apparently he's a 'douche'. braeden didn't really know American slang all too well, so she'll stick to bastard from now on.

"did you say somethin' princess?!" jj turned his head with fiery red eyes to the cameron, but softened when his eyes drew to the girl he smoked drugs with earlier before. braeden looked at the boy with wide eyes. this has been the only time that braeden has shown herself being slightly scared since she'd been here. her dad abusing was minor since it's been happening for a while, but the boy she had fun with earlier was gradually beginning to scare her. it was like she had finally had a good time, yet it quickly switched off in a matter of 5 minutes. no wonder she developed major trust issues.

jj clenched his jaw then turned back around to face topper. he pushed the gun further into his head one more time then stood up and stomped across the beach. "okay, everyone listen up! get the hell off our side of the island!" jj shot two bullets into the air as his two friends pushed and repeatedly shouted names at him.

after jj shot the gun, all of the people that were there before, scrammed off the beach, drove away, ran, exedra. but braeden stayed put; she was too stunned to walk away. this just proves how she should not trust anyone and the people she thought were nice, they're not how they seemed to be.

"why you still here?" breaden stopped staring into space to be met with the girl she saw at the wreck a few days ago.

"uh, uh-" braeden stuttered, then slowly but surely came to her senses. "-nothin'"

"then go!" braeden remembered her name to be kiara. another point that people aren't as nice as they seem to be.

"you don't have to be a fucking bitch!" braeden shouted at the rude girl in front. her emotions changed from scared to rude real fast. she doesn't like it when someone gives her attitude for no apparent reason whatsoever.

kie clearly looked shocked at the words coming from braeden's mouth. "excuse me?"

"oh yeah, sorry, my apologies that your friend has a gun and almost shot someone in the fucking head!" braeden sarcastically spoke. braeden sometimes can get into violence, but never has there been a gun involved, only punching and pulling hair, which still hurts like a bitch. after no one spoke, braeden's eyes focused on the figure that was still laying in the water. "aren't you gonna help your friend?" braeden nodded at john b that was unconscious in the water.

"shit!" the 3 ran towards the boy that could possibly be dead. braeden stood there with her hands in her pockets, sometimes raising her eyebrows at the poor attempt to wake john b up.

before mel disappeared, she was a nurse, so braeden knew most stuff about medical and healing abilities. she knew everything that they were trying to do, they were punching his stomach, in attempt to wake him up. stupid.

"aren't you gonna help?!" kiara shouted at the teen with her eyes locked on john b's body, as well as her salty tears dripping onto his limp corpse.

'she was being a bitch, but if i don't help, he could die, and that would make me an even bigger bitch'

braeden sighed then ran towards the 4 figures. "you-" braeden pointed at jj "-are gonna hold his head up. "you-" she nodded at pope. "-are gonna hold up his legs. "and you-" she looked at kie. "-are gonna blow air into his mouth when i say" the 3 nodded at her instructions. braeden has been training and learning this for a long time, so her helping could lead to this random boy not dying. jj, pope and kiara took their places as braeden placed her hands on john b's chest and began pumping. "okay, 1, 2... 3!" kie locked lips with john b and blew air into his mouth. braeden counted to 20 in her head then instructed kiara to blow again.

"come on!"

"wake up!"

"john b!"

braeden sighed in disappointment. she knew that there probably wasn't going to be a chance that he would wake u-

john b shot up as he coughed out water onto the sand. he inhaled then exhaled repeatedly at a fast pace as braeden rubbed his back. "in" she took a deep breath, signalling that john b should match her breathing. "and out" john b repeated her actions then slowly calmed down. "you drowned, but you're fine now, don't worry" braeden reassured the brunette that earlier passed her a beer.

"thank you" john b breathed out.

"it's cool, never know when you need to help a random dude from dying, eh?" the 4 all chuckled at the girls words.

"well-" braeden stood up from her position as the 4 strangers looked up at her. "-i'm gonna go" braeden fully stood up then began to walk off.

"hey, wait up!" jj caught up to braeden then grabbed her the shoulder to turn her around and face him. she turned around to meet his eyes. "yeah?"

"uh, thanks for that" jj smiled at the girl in front as he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck.

"you never say thank you do you?" braeden knew jj wasn't the 'manners' type of guy only from smoking with him, how ironic.

"uh, yeah i do!" jj exclaimed, even though braeden already knew the real answer. she nodded sarcastically. "uh, thanks for the weed!" jj pointed at the girl like he was really proud of saying what he had just said.

"right well-" braeden spoke when she heard kie's voice shout a name from the people she was previously helping.

"are you okay, jb?"

jb?

'OH MY FUCKING GOD'

word count: 1104

ooo cliff hanger!

if you guys don't get it, jb was on the compass so when kie said 'jb', braeden knew that it is john b's compass, y'know?
