Everything happened way too fast for the three friends to process but still it felt like it was a scene in slow motion.

Remus was turning back into his human form.
The usual howls paired with the sound of cracking bones and tossing around, normally turned into a curled up, wounded remus and quiet whimpers but not this time.

This time, the howling turned into screaming. Earth shattering, loud, pain filled screaming.
Remus was laying on his back, arms tightly wrapped around himself.
His faced was scrunched up in pain and he curled himself together as if he was trying to get away from the pain.

One last cracking noise was heard and remus let out a pained yelp before coughing up blood.

This was the moment Peter, James and Sirius snapped out of it and turned back into themselves.
Sirius immediately fell onto his knees and scrambled forward to be as close to remus as possible.

"Peter go get madame pomfrey, right now." James said, absolutely horrified, his eyes never leaving remus.
Peter nodded quickly and turned back into a rat so he would be faster.
James sat down next to Sirius and layed his jacket over remys lower body considering he was being naked.

"Sirius." Remus coughed, more blood coming out of his mouth "Siri-"
"It's okay, I'm here, I'm here." The black haired boy said, tears streaming down his face.
"Don't talk please, just- try not do die okay?" He tried wiping his face but more tears came.

"Don't leave me." Remus said brokenly before his eyes fluttered closed.

"No no no no no." Sirius muttered and tried not to panic.
"You don't leave me! Don't you dare do this to me right now." He sobbed but didn't touch him, too scared to hurt him more.

Moments later madame pomfrey stood next to them and James scrambled away, Sirius stayed put.

They managed to get him into the castle unnoticed and he got a bed in the far back of the hospital wing.
"You two go get professor McGonagall and professor Dumbledore, Mr Black you can stay here but only because i know you wouldn't leave anyways."
She said in a hurry and Sirius actually thanked her.

He let himself fall down on the closest stool and looked at madame pomfrey taking care of his friend.

He buried his face in his hands and felt the nauseous feeling take over his body.
He was so worried he couldn't even breathe properly.

Dumbledore and McGonagall came through the doors in no time and took care of the formalities and assured that everything will be taken care of.
After a while, they left again and Sirius felt his eyes prickle at the sight of his friend laying there.

It felt like hours until madame pomfrey lightly shook at his shoulder.
He flinched and opened his eyes.
She looked down at him worried and smiled sadly.
"You need to rest and eat something mister black, he's going to be unconscious for a while."

"He's going to he okay, isn't he? You can fix this, right?"
"I'm doing my best, but it's going to be very hard for him."
"He's strong, he'll make it." Sirius whispered over and over until madame pomfrey assured him that he was right and he driftet off to a slumber again.

She sighed and organized some food that he could wake up to because she realized he wasn't going to leave anytime soon.

Later that evening, Peter and James came back into the hospital wing and asked if madame pomfrey had any news.

"Well, he had some broken ribs and a punctured lung, I fixed that for him but he's still having trouble with breathing, that's going to stay for a while. His hip was also discolated and that is definitely going to cause him lots of trouble the next days, other than that he should be fine."
