Chapter 20

Ace

I've been feeling awful today. I felt like I'm going to puke, stomach cramps bothered me and I wasn't in the mood for meat during breakfast. I didn't want to go to Curiel, though or else, he's going to call Marco in. It's a busy week too so I don't want to bother anyone. I took medicine stolen from Curiel's office and ate a pill. I then drank water and slept, hoping that the cramps would be gone.

A few hours later

I woke up, feeling better than earlier. There weren't any more cramps and the puking feeling was gone too. I then left the room, walked to the galley for food and thankfully, no one was there. It was nighttime so everyone went out to party and Norman was asleep so I had to find something from the fridge. I took out a bag of crackers and left the galley. I opened the bag and ate them, thinking it was no one's.

"What do you think you're doing with my bag of crackers?" A voice asked.

I turned behind and it was Marco a few inches from me. He stood against the bannister, facing me. I couldn't help but blush because he was shirtless. Fucking hell.

"Hey, Marco. I... wasn't in the mood for meat and Norman's asleep so I took this bag of crackers," I answered.

"Is that so? Oh, that's right. Why didn't you ask for your big plate of meat for breakfast this morning? Usually, you'd ask without hesitation. Everything alright?" He asked.

"Everything's fine. I just-" I was about to finish my sentence when I dropped the bag of chips and clutched my stomach, covering my mouth.

Shit.

"You ok? Oi, Ace!" He exclaimed as I ran to the bathroom.

I crouched over the toilet bowl and puked. Marco entered the bathroom and then crouched beside me, patting my back.

"We'll see Curiel once he comes back from the party. He told me he's abstaining from alcohol for a while so we can consult him," Marco said.

"I don't want to bother you guys. Besides, I'm fine now. It's only this once." I lied.

He looked worriedly at me for a moment before he sighed.

"Ok, but if this happens again, tell me. I'm not letting this slide and I will pay more attention to you," He told me.

A few days later

I screamed loud enough for Marco to barge in, panicking.

"What happened, A-" He froze in disbelief. I tried so hard not to laugh.

I was shocked. Ace woke up and chose to scream out loud. I panicked for no reason. He laughed at my instincts while I stared at him, dumbfounded.

"Sorry, sorry. I didn't scream for no reason but I laughed because of your quick reaction to it," Ace explained.

Well, I can't deny that my reaction was funny so I'll give him that.

"Anyway, why'd you scream?" I asked.

"When I woke up, I... felt something moving. I don't know what but it moved inside me," He answered.

That's weird. Ok, we're seeing Curiel right this instance.

In Curiel's office

"You're pregnant."

"Eh?" We sounded.

I don't know if I should thank Kami-sama for granting us a child or worry it's a little too soon. Wait a minute, men can't get pregnant.
