Sequel Chapter 4

Tell me if I'm wrong but is it spelled Jimbei or Jinbe? I honestly don't know the difference but I don't want to get chased down by you One Piece fans (I myself am one but I don't even know how to spell the name of a former Warlord 😓) Also, I commonly see people spell Jinbe so basically, I'm CONFUSION 🙃

Flashback

Shimizu trudged through marines with an injured leg and bleeding head. They were looking around frantically for someone. As Shimizu looked, they saw the golden moment. Ace was freed from the seastone cuffs and the Whitebeard Pirates smiled as their fellow 2nd Commander was free from his capture. Shimizu then looked at the side and saw Blackbeard pointing the gun to Whitebeard. They were about to stop him but got blocked by pesky marines. They trudged but their injuries made it harder for them to fight back. A bullet was fired but Whitebeard didn't freeze. Shimizu looked at who was in front of him.

"You motherfucker... Aim properly next time."

Shimizu, the others and Whitebeard froze as they witnessed a tragedy. Miharu had blocked the shot with her body. She plopped to the ground, losing consciousness. Shimizu then ran to her and held her. The others tended to the mass casualties and Blackbeard was plummeted by Whitebeard. Luffy was in shock after losing his staff and Ace hugged him. Sengoku, who raised Miharu when she was younger, tried not to cry as he watched his foster granddaughter dying. Garp lowered his head and patted Sengoku's back.

"It's alright, Sengoku. It's alright," Garp said.

While everyone was rejoicing and mourning over victory and defeat, Shimizu only watched the one in their arms. Miharu coughed a little bit of blood out and sighed softly. She then looked at Shimizu whose eyes were welling up. They were having a last moment together. As friends, guys. Although, I wish they were dating.

"Shimi," Miharu called softly.

"Miharu, don't worry. Law will be here soon. I've called him through telepathy so he's coming. Just hang in there," Shimizu told Miharu.

"Shimizu," Miharu called again.

Shimizu froze as Miharu placed her hand on their cheek. She smiled weakly and chuckled.

"I don't have much time left and you know that," Miharu whispered.

"If you die... I'll be alone. Yeah, I have the others but it won't be the same without you," They told her.

"There's no such thing as being alone in this world."

Shimizu gasped softly after hearing those words. Robin had said it before, quoting from a friend of hers. It's those same words coming from Miharu. Miharu's hand fell to the side and her eyes closed. Shimizu looked at the motionless girl and shook her lightly, trying to get her back.

"Miharu, wake up~ I don't like this..." Shimizu muttered desperately.

Whitebeard noticed and walked towards them. He slowly separated Shimizu from Miharu so Law, who had arrived a few minutes later, could do the proper practices on her. Shimizu started to weep as their best friend was being carried away.

"Miharu, wake the fuck up! It's not funny, bitch!" Shimizu shouted frantically.

"Calm down, child."

"Miharu!" Shimizu yelled before weeping aloud.

Whitebeard cradled Shimizu and brought them to Luffy. He then told him to take care of Shimizu for a while. Luffy and Ace brought Shimizu away with Jimbei to a small marine boat they hijacked. That marked the end of the Marineford War.

Now

"That's what happened at Marineford. You were there for the later part and so was Shanks. That day, I'd never forget nor will I ever forgive myself for not saving my best friend in time," I told Law.

Law looked at my hand, seeing the cup of almost cold chocolate trembling in my hand. He took the cup from my hand and placed it on the desk. He then looked back at me and waited for me to say something. I kept quiet and just sat there, head down low. Then, Law placed my head on his right shoulder and patted my hair.

"Thanks for the long flashback but as someone who suffered from mental disorders and trauma, you're a special priority case. Now, shut up and just lay down here," Law said.

I laid on his shoulder and soon after, I slept with salty droplets leaking out of my panda eyes.

As I patted their head, I saw tear droplets trickle down their cheeks as they slowly dozed off. The poor lad. I moved them to their bed and tucked them in. I then left the room with the cups of cold chocolate and walked to the kitchen to wash the cups. After that, I retired to my room. As I laid in bed, I thought about what to do tomorrow with Shimizu. While thinking, I fell asleep.

The next morning

"Law! Uncle Law! Wake up!"

I sat up quickly to see Aiko looking worried and scared.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" I asked.

Aiko was about to answer when we heard bangs from outside. We quickly ran out of the room and a fleet of pirate ships were firing cannonballs at us.

"Aiko! Law! We need to get out of here, quickly!" Ember said.

"Where's Shimizu?!" I asked.

"They-"

Then, we heard a scream. Soon, the ship started swaying aggressively side to side. We were really confused until we looked at the enemy and they were being trampled by a group of Sea Kings. The weird thing was they were in the Calm Belt where there are no Sea Kings, especially if it's a group of them. The Sea Kings then vanished into thin air and the Moby Dick stopped swaying. I ran to the back of the ship and Shimizu was on the ground, unconscious. I checked on them and their body felt warm and so was their forehead. I checked for other signs and it seems Shimizu got hit with a fever. I picked them up and swiftly brought them to their room.

"Ember, get a small tub of cold water and a cloth. Aiko, tell Curiel to make medicine," I instructed.

Although Ember was the captain, she was quite a humble girl and never let her position get to her. She nodded and ran off to get the water. Aiko ran off as well and I carried Shimizu to their room. As I was laying them on their bed, they mumbled but it was incoherent so I leaned closer and as soon as I heard, shock overthrew me.

A/N: Sorry if the sequel is so focused on Shimizu. I promise the sequel will focus on the twins' pirate journey and also the death of a certain person 😓
