     This wasn't an actual request but AyeshaSelodio4 asked if I could do more Shisui one-shots and here we are so here you go Ayesha :)

     Quick note: This one-shot happened when Itachi and Shisui were pretty young, Sasuke was probably a baby.

     A Letter to my Bestfriend: Apologies

     "Morning, (Y/n)!" Itachi found you in the kitchen, already done with the tamagoyaki and a stack of pancakes with the second batch cooking.

     "Just in time, Itachi. Sasuke's egg rolls are ready."

     Dear (Y/n),

     Since Itachi's parents were out working for the whole day you and Shisui visited him and Sasuke to help with breakfast. You brushed the dust off the yellow apron that had a cat pattern on it casually as Itachi set up the table. You reached over to get the maple syrup, being careful so you don't drop it.

     "Wait, wait not that one!" 

     I have a confession to make.

     Itachi interrupted you when you grabbed the maple syrup.

     "What's wrong?" you asked, slightly puzzled. 

     "Shisui already bought a new jug. That's the old one, it's already expired." Itachi explained. Then you heard a cry from upstairs. The elder Uchiha ran up to comfort his younger brother, leaving you alone in the kitchen. "The new one is in the bottom cupboard!"

     You know you're my dearest, most precious friend.

     "Alright then." you shrugged. You then bring the tray to the dining room where the two Uchiha brothers sat patiently. Well, one of them was at least. The other one was jumping up and down like a kid on Christmas day.

     "Good morning, boys!" you greeted them. You were met with a duet of good mornings. Sasuke finally sat back as he beamed with excitement when he spotted two perfectly cooked tamagoyakis on his plate. 

     But even you should obviously know by now...

     "Where's big brother Shisui?" a small noise asked from behind you as you served Itachi's plate. His glassy eyes looked like he was about to cry.

     "Oh, Shisui. He's not here right now, Sasuke." you served Itachi's plate as you replied to the little Uchiha. 

     "I'm not eating until he's here then >:(" Sasuke pouted as he looked away. Bad mood, noted. You sighed, you tried to hold in your chuckle at how cute he looked. 

     ...that I cannot be trusted.

     "Sasuke. Don't be so rude now." thankfully the elder brother came to the rescue as he patted Sasuke's head and turned to apologize to you, saying that the food will get cold if you all don't eat soon.

     You sat down in front of the two brothers as they thanked you for the food. But before you ate, Itachi excused himself for a quick bathroom break. 

     I am so sorry...but at the same time...

     Once he came back, he drizzled some syrup on his stack of pancakes as you did the same for yours.

     "Took you long enough big brother." Sasuke grumbled, his stomach growling, he took the fork you gave him and started eating the tamagoyaki.

     ...I am not sorry.

     You and Itachi wasted no time diving into the pancakes. You took one bite from your pancake, and your eyes went wide. Both you and Itachi threw up the eaten pancake into the trash bin, leaving a confused young Sasuke in the dining room.

     Turns out, Shisui had purposely switched the expired maple syrup and the new one earlier that morning.
