I have a feeling I have a thing for Kumo-nins since I can't stop writing them. So, Omoi. Despite the fact that he is more level-headed than his teammate Karui, but often demonstrates a wild imagination and has a habit of exaggerating the end result of minor things (like when Karui threw a rock at him and he believed it would cause an avalanche and destroy Konoha) and likes to make fun of Karui's hot-headed personality with painful results. He's also a very intelligent ninja. In the anime, he was shown also to be very resourceful even under pressure. It has also been said by his teammate, Karui, that he is rather pessimistic when he expresses his concern for Killer B.

Fun Fact: His name is a pun on two words that have the pronunciation "Omoi": 重い, which means "heavy", contrasting with Karui, which means "light". 思い, which means "thought", alluding to his thoughtful manner. Source: Naruto Fandom Wiki.

The evening started like any other.

You were out on a mission so this was a rather lonely evening for Samui's team, especially Omoi. After exiting the Raikage building, Omoi was a little disappointed seeing that you haven't returned from your mission. As he walked with his team he had his arms crossed and above his head in a relaxed manner, sucking his lollipop,

"You alright, Omoi? You seem different," Karui commented looking at her teammate, chuckling,

"Just, disappointed," He answered in a low tone hesitantly, this piqued Karui's interest,

"What? Is it about (y/n)? Come on, Omoi. She's the best out of all of us in this team and she can take care of herself," She told her teammate, patting him on the back before pausing, leaning towards the boy,"Or is it that there's something else? Maybe you like her?"

Omoi soon stopped walking, dead in his tracks, his head low. Samui stopped too when she realized they weren't following her anymore,

"What is it Omoi?" The team captain asked,

"N-nothing, captain Samui," He stuttered,

"We'll meet again tomorrow in Lord Raikage's office, understood?" Her subordinates nodded as she then walked away. Karui's gaze then shifted towards her partner,

"So, when are you gonna ask her out?" She cooed, nudging her elbow at the boy,

"Shut up, Karui!" He barked, that got some attention since they were in a public place, right in the middle of the village. When he realized this he soon pulled Karui away from the crowded area. Now they're out,

"So, when are you gonna ask her out?" She repeated her question in the same tone as before,

"I was gonna ask her out before you asked me, but now I'm worried," He blurted out, all stressed as he clenched his spiky white hair,

"About?"

"She was supposed to come home today, but she's not at Lord Raikage's office," He started, then he lifted his head and looked fully at his partner,"What if, what if she failed the mission? Or got captured by the Akatsuki? And then tortured, oh, her poor innocent soul. Then she died from blood loss,"

Karui was shaking her head in shame to have a partner like this,"She's a strong shinobi, she can handle that, she'll survive Omoi,"

Yet Omoi did not stop,

"But what if she survived, with a trauma. Then that trauma will stay with her forever and she'll lose her sanity and she gets depressed. So depressed that she'll start cutting herself and soon enough she'll commit suicide!" He continued, at this point, Karui's had enough of it,

"Shut up you idiot! As I said, she's a strong shinobi and she will make it through. She's probably just running late," She said hitting his head,

"But-but," Before Omoi could even reply, a voice spoke,

"Hey, Omoi, Karui. (Y/n)'s back!" Yelled out Samui's brother, Atsui. Omoi then sighed in relief,

"See, I told you she's just running in late!" Karui exclaimed, taking his hand and then running towards the Raikage's office pass Atsui,"Come on, Omoi! I want to see this happen,"

The two ran and ran to the building, and before Karui knocked, as if on cue, you walked out of the office,

"Oh, hey guys," You greeted them with your sweet voice, this made pink tints appear on Omoi's cheeks,

"Hey, (Y/n)!" Your best friend replied, still dragging Omoi behind her. You then tilted your torso slightly, trying to see Omoi,

"Omoi, you okay?" You asked him,

"Yeah, I-I'm alright, (Y/n)," He cursed himself for stuttering again, especially right in front of you, yet he was still grateful that his voice hasn't yet cracked. For a moment his heart was pounding so hard he swore you could hear it. With the confidence from Karui's elbow nudging, he spoke,"Can we grab a bite to eat? I'm sure you're hungry after the mission,"

"Sure, is Karui coming?" You answered with no hesitation,

"No, no, I won't be coming. I have... Errands to run, for Lord Raikage, Darui, and Atsui," Karui chuckled, lying so that you and Omoi can have some time together and you fell for the lie,

"Okay," You nodded, then turning to Omoi,"How about at Roku's? They have some good sushi there,"

He agreed and then the three of you exited the building and Karui parted ways with you, running off to captain Samui who was talking to her brother and Darui and C. Telling the group of jonins that Omoi was taking you out on a date.
