Two days later, it was Isabelle's birthday and she insisted that all she wanted was to spend the day with him. Bill and Isabelle were just watching movies at home, enjoying the week before Bill would be returning back to work. Obviously, Isabelle tried to argue it, but it was no use.
In the middle of one movie, Isabelle was laying in front of Bill on the sofa with his arms around her, and he started pressing gentle kisses to the side of her neck.
"Bill," she giggled softly. "I wanted to watch this."
"We can always watch it another time," he said, and she could feel his smile against her skin.
Before she could respond, they heard a tap on the window and she turned to look at Bill.
"Who could be writing already?" Isabelle said, getting up from the sofa to open the window and take the letter from the owl.
Isabelle gave the owl a treat before opening the letter, skimming through it as Bill sat up to watch her.
"It's from Remus. He said Tonks is sick and doesn't want to worry her parents," Isabelle said.
"I know where they live, I can go check on her or ask Mum," Bill said.
"I want to go, too. She's my friend," Isabelle said.
"We would have to apparate," he said wearily.
"I'll be fine," she said. "Please."
Soon enough they were knocking on the front door of Remus and Tonks's house, which was small and in the middle of nowhere.
"Good, you're here," Sirius said as he opened the door.
"You're still here?" Isabelle said, a bit surprised that he was still living with Remus now that he and Tonks were married.
"I stay here from time to time. Remus asked for help looking for Harry," Sirius explained, leading them into the house to the bathroom where they found Tonks hunched over the toilet and Remus just watching with an unreadable expression.
"Oh, Tonks," Isabelle said, entering the bathroom to kneel down next to Tonks.
"Hey, Iz," Tonks said, her voice rough.
When she went to get sick again, Isabelle had to move back a bit, seeing it not helping her own nausea.
"Bill-" Isabelle said, and he understood.
Bill took Isabelle's place, rubbing Tonks's back gently. "We're right here," he said gently.
When she was finally done and sat back against the wall, Isabelle was able to talk to her again.
"How long have you been feeling sick?" Isabelle asked.
Tonks shrugged. "A little here and there."
"She did eat a lot for dinner last night," Sirius spoke up. "We thought maybe it was that."
Isabelle glanced over at Bill, who seemed to be thinking the same thing.
"Tonks, is there any possibility that you could be pregnant?" Isabelle asked.
"I-" Tonks started, glancing up at Remus. "I don't know."
Sirius seemed to get the hint and took Remus out of the bathroom, shutting the door to leave the three of them alone.
"It's okay, Tonks. You can tell us," Bill said.
"My period is a bit late. It was supposed to start a week or so before the wedding," Tonks said.
"I think we ought to find out," Isabelle said.
