Nandini's pov

*1.5 years later*

"Good Evening Ladies and gentlemen. This is your first officer Nandini Murthy accompanied by Caption Sushant Agarwal. Welcome aboard to your flight from Mumbai to Delhi. Our flight time today will be of 2 hours and our estimated time of arrival in Delhi is 23:20 pm.
The weather in our route looks good, temperature at our destination is now 5 degree Celsius, with a bit overcast. We wish you a pleasant flight."

I said everything in a go and took a deep breath once it's over.

Usually the first officers doesn't announce these stuffs but as my captain knows that this is my first official flight so he insisted me to do the honours.

Goddd, I have no idea how did I spoke? Was it good or did I made a fun out of myself?

"You did a good job, well done! " Captain Sushant uttered bringing me out of my train of thoughts

I looked at him and gave him a genuine smile saying thanks

" excited? Shall we? " He asked

I nodded with a tinge of excitement and nervousness

I'm so stressed and nervous.

Goddd I need Manik!

"We have to start in 5 right? " I asked

" Mmhmm " captain replied checking the instrument

" Ok, I'll come in 2 mins. If that's fine?" I asked timidly, praying he doesn't scold me for being unprofessional

" Yeah sure, no problem. Uhh Nandini I know you're stressed but its very common. You don't need to worry. Fine, you go and meanwhile I will just check few things, hmm? " He replied calmly

" Thanks Sir " I said leaving the cockpit and literally running to the business class

Reaching the particular seat, I saw him working as usual on his laptop, when I pulled his sweatshirt for attention

He looked up, looking as handsome as ever with his casual grey sweatshirt and trouser. He got surprised seeing me, standing up he said " What happened Bachha? Why are you here? "

" I'm feeling scared, what if what if..." I pointed out my insecurity

" No No no ifs and buts, you're overthinking again. You did wonderful job in announcing the flight and now I'm 200% sure, you'll nail this as well. " He spoke cupping both my cheeks

" But-" I again tried

"  No overthinking now Nandini. You'll go and fly without a single ounce of negative thoughts, Am I understood? " He spoke strictly

I nodded hugging him, inhaling his scent as much as I could as in a very weird way it gives me a sense of peace.

" Ok fine, go fast. We need to reach Delhi soon Bachha and just so you know I'm so fuckin' proud of you. Now go, I'm here only. With you. " He whispered in my ears, hugging me tightly

Breaking the hug, I was about to leave when he pulled me and kissed my forehead murmuring " I love you "

And I blushed hard

How can I not? When everybody in the business class had our attention

Smiling, I left to the cockpit with a happy face

" Fine now? " Captain asked to which I nodded

And with this my first ever official flight took off.

Once the plane reached a particular altitude, I went to check on Manik twice to see if he's fine, Or more like for my own self.
