MISSY: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐲𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦

Missy and Suki made their way down the steps underneath the foot of the Elife Tower, it was hot and uncomfortable as they hit further down and the noise of the motors of the engines and pully system of the elevators rotating were so loud, it was impossible to hear anything. They kept going until they reached the bottom but the lights were off and it was very dark, there was a soft glow from the engine lights which wasn't enough to see much at all.

Missy took hold of Suki's hand as it was very dark and there was this dampness to the walls and floors as the moisture was felt in the air. The air was stuffy and heavy feel like entering a darken steam room that they could feel the steam making their clothes feeling heavy to wear.

Suki took out her phone and flipped her phone enough to switch on the torch to shine their way through the darken room as they looked around as quickly as possible as they knew it won't be long before the Templars would catch up to them. It be easy for them to follow their foot prints in the snow leading them to the door at the iron leg at the Elife Tower.

Missy looks around so unsure about where she was going as even though Suki was using her torch to find their way around the giant machinery where they were, it was very sweaty and hot too and it would only get more uncomfortable with the winter clothes they have on.

Missy points out a steam was moving in a certain direction as Suki shine her light, "This way..",

"Are you sure?", She asks looking at her,

"Very sure, look the steam rising up but there is another air flow that's sucking  the steam in like a draft", Missy breaths heavy as she loosens her jacket feeling very sweaty,

"It's so hot in here", Suki moans as she follows Missy,

"Well we have serval layers of clothes on and we are underground trying to find a relic who's engery is most likely turned the underground into a giant steam room", Missy grins from his own sarcasm,

"I don't think it's the right time to be stripping off too seeing how many pounds we can sweat off with those men on our tail", Suki looks at her as they further further down,

"I won't complain", Missy chuckled under her breath,

"I am sure you won't, besides you still haven't told he how come I ended up pretty much naked in the professors home", she mumbles,

Missy told her eyes as she feels around for a door or somekind of a entrance to where the steam was coming from that was moving in another direction. She stuck out her hand as she felt the tingling heat on her hand from the rising steam as Missy took deep breaths as she was getting very sweaty from the steam that surround them.

Suki shine her torch as then they heard a clagging sound echoing from above them as if a huge door being slammed open. Suki sighed and looked around as both her and Missy knew that the Templars had arrived and probably be moving fast to catch up with them.

Missy managed to find a draft of steam from a grate on the wall with hinges on it as she let go of Suki's hand as she used her hands to try and open it, "Stand back, I hope this the right way, there will be a tonne of steam that will come out",

"Okay hurry", Suki nodded,

Missy gasped as she touched it but she flicked as it was very hot from the amount of built up steam behind it. She shook her hand as she grit hwr teeth from hiding the pain and starts to remove her jacket and wrapped it around her hand to use as a glove to try and open it again. Suki kept to the side as she lifted the grate, as she too ducked to the side feeling this bellow of steam shooting out.

Missy waited a moment as the steam flooded the room and the only thing they saw was Suki's phone light beaming through it. She managed to grab Suki as she helped her climb in to vent and follow her as they both crawled on their hands and knees through the vent.

The pair of them crawl through the hot vent as fast as they could to get to the other side, as they did they felt the vent was getting wider as they were able to stand in the metal tunnel of the vent and run to rwchh the opening at the end. Their clothes felt so wet from the dampness of the steam gaping but as they did they heard the sound of water nearby.

"Can you hear that", Suki stopped as she heard the sound of running water,

Missy nodded as she could hear it too, "It sounds like..",

She didn't get to finished her sentence as now their was a light coming at the end and the pair of them saw that there was light coming from the but it gave off this soft glow not so much blue but maybe a sky blue that was lighter. It was a beautiful to see as they approach the end and climbed down onto the redlish ground surface.

They didn't have much time as Missy grabbed Suki's hand and quickly pulled her to the side away from the waters edge as the water was very hot and bubbling, she had never seen such a thing.

The steam was rising from it which explained the where the steam was coming from and it was apparent that it was too hot in there for there winder gear.

Suki removed her coat and top as she was gasping and felt the sweat of her brow dripping like she was fresh from a shower, she looked at Missy who had removed her jumper seeing she had sweat patches around her neck and arm pits, even under her breasts, as it was uncomfortably hot and just barely enough oxygen to breath,

"This is so hot down here, its hard to breath", Suki gasps,

"It's the heat, think of it as a very hot steam room, we have to adventure further but whatever we do, don't fall into the water", Missy looks at the boiling water down below,

"It's boiling hot I see that", Suki nods,

But Missy shakes her head, "Worse.. The lime stone is acting like an acided at boiling temperatures", she picks up a stone and throws it into the water as it sizzles,

"Oh my gosh", Suki looked in amazment,

"Yes so if the relic isn't stopped it will eventually make the ground unstable and then", she uses her hands to show the Elife Tower crashing down,

Suki's eyes widen, "How long?",

"The way the water is boiling, I don't know but I guessing maybe a week but that's not the issue, this water could be the drinking water, sure it damage the pipes but not before it poisons and kills half the population of Paris", Missy gasps as she starts to move quickly through the lighten tunnel,

"How could this be, how?", Suki asks,

"I really don't know, maybe cause its mystical, the relic once activated has a kind of defence to it, to stop anyone damaging it, I really don't know, I am not an expert in mystical things or magical things, let's just find the relic and get out of here", Missy sighs wiping his forehead,

Suki nods as she follows her, they kept moving despite the temperature was very hot, keeping to the side of the tunnel as even though it was wet and warm it was better than getting to close to the boiling water.

Their heads turn as they heard and saw the flash of torch lights, the noise of men running through the tunnel coming from the tunnel grate that they came from,

"Blooming heck, let's move..", Missy gasps as she moves faster with Suki as they were running out of time,

They  moved quickly through the tunnel the men were coming out the tunnel. As the men did one lost his footing at the edge and fell into the water  as one looked and yelled out 'Stay away from the water and move, they went this way'. Missy could hear their voices echoing throughout the tunnel they were heading down, this had become a race, first to the relic.

Missy gasping as it was hot and Suki followed her, they knew they was giving their positions away as they left there coats and jumpers behind, Both Missy and Suki stripped down to their body suits as they were so hot ans the clothes they wore was weighting then down that was making it hard for them to move faster. They moved as fast as they could but the ground surface was damp and slippery for them to walk on as the ground was like wet roof slates and very unsafe to run on.

They got so far when a gun shot fired as a bullet nearly missed them hitting the wall. Missy paused just for a couple of seconds as she turned and looked at Suki, "Run",

Suki didn't argue with her as they ran as fast as they could, even though they could feel the floor under there feet was slippery, but they had no choice, they have been found and the men had their weapons, which Missy and Suki didn't.

They moved fast as their hearts beating hard down the tunnel, this was so hard for them both as the heat was getting hotter as they must be getting nearer as they could see a platform up ahead.

The pair of them ran as close as they could as Missy slipped over a bit and lost her balance almost falling into the water but Suki managed to grabbed onto her arm pulling back. She gasped as she looked seeing this platform in front of them surrounded by the water and in the middle was like this work bench with a load of stuff on it,

"There look, it had to be on there", Missy said quickly as they were running out of time,

"How do we get across as the Templars are coming", Suki states gasping dripping with sweat,

Missy looks around and noticed a bit further up of wooden type planks put together like a bridge as they ran towards it. They was aware the slashing of the boiling water was surrounding it and getting across was going to be hell on earth but they had no choice as they couldn't let the Templars get their hands on the relic.

"This is crazy..", Suki looks at Missy worried,

"We have no choice, we have to get it", Missy gasps as she flicks her wet hair back from the sweat,

"But we don't know what it looks like Missy and they are coming", Suki shouts as Missy puts her foot on the plank,

"Or have to turn it off either but do we honestly have a choice", Missy gasps,

Suki shakes her head, "No..",

Missy takes another step as it seems sterdy but the next step seems to make the plank bend a little. She pushed Suki back a little as she took another step as she held out her arms  to balance himself,

"One at at time, it won't hold both of us", Missy gasps as she tried to keep her balance on the planks,

"Hurry I can hear them coming", Suki looks at her,

Missy nods as she can feel the heat like it was burning her legs, it was very hot as she took small steps as fast as she could. Missy made it across as Suki started to walk across one step at a time, Missy watched her but her face kept looking at the work bench as the flash lights from the automatic weapons was getting closer,

She grunted as she knew Suki had this as she walks fast to the table looking at the stuff, she had no clue which item it was until Missy remembered what the professor said about strange markings that then discovered what they were, she looked hard and notice a small stone that looked like a rain drop.

Missy went to pick it up, but was distracted but noticing a Templar soldier was about to cross the plank behind Suki. She turned and ran over to her knowing it would break as shouted at her to jump. The soldier stepped onto it as it cracked and Suki hearing Missy yelling at her closed her eyes and jumped towards her just in the nick of time as she caught her but the soldier fell into the water screaming,

"Oh my God..", Suki gasped as Missy held her, seeing the soldier seem to melt screaming in pain like the water was boiling acid, very hard to look away at the horror,

Missy breaths out heavy as she knew that to turn it off required the tears of a human to deactivated the relic, she looked at her then the table, "Did you find it?",

Missy nodded as she walks her over unaware that there were a bunch of soldiers with automatic weapons pointed at them both, as Missy pointed to the relic stone, "It's that one, see the sharp point, she cut her finger on it but we need tears or..",

Missy didn't get to finish her sentence when they heard the cocking of the weapons on the floor across the other side of boiling weapon and this tall man with slick hair and long coat, looking rather relaxed at them. He smiled at them as he raised his hand telling the soldiers to stand down. He had a firm British accent as he spoke out to them,

"I must congratulate you, no one has ever kept up the pace of my men before", the man clapped slowly,

Missy stood in front of Suki, "Well thank you, but I thought it was impolite to tall with out an introduction",

"Your quiet right Miss Saxon, yes I know who your are, it's my job to, but please allow me to introduce myself, I am Mr Carmicheal, Ian Carmicheal, I be taking the relic off you soom before I kill you", Carmicheal smirks,

"An introduction and a threat, so when can we be best friends, or do we have to have the same mothers name or something", Missy grunts at him,

"A threat, oh please Miss Saxon, I think you find we are passed threatening behaviour, no that's for school yard bullies, or Lawyers, no Miss Saxon, we simply here to collect", Carmicheal paces up and down as he looks at them both,

"Funny that you sound like a laywer but you sound like politician, so which are you Mr Carmicheal?", Miss uses her body to push Suki back a little closer to the table,

Carmicheal looks at her with a grin and takes a hankichief out his pocket and wipes the sweat from his brow calmy, "Too bad you will never find out Miss Saxon, Miss Tanaka",

Suki looks at him as he knew her name too, but it wasn't surprising to her as he was with the Illuminati like her father, "My father will have your head for this",

"Believe me when I tell you Miss Tanaka, your father is the least of your worries, now be a good girl and throw over the relic and I might tell your father how you sacrifice your life for this french nation", Carmicheal points to the table,

"I would never give it to you, this relic needs to be deactivated or more innocent people will die", Suki speaks sharply at him as Missy grabs her to hold her back,

"Yes oh well, that's not my problem Miss Tanaka, you see these people have insurance and investments in my company so their deaths is just tragic in a profitable way", Carmicheal stands still as he talks with his hands as he speaks,

"Your a monster..", Suki yells at him,

"Oh no miss Tanaka, I think your hiding behind the real monster, isn't that right Miss Saxon", he smiles at Missy looking directly at her,

"Says you, who wants this to destroy the world for what..", Missy snaps at him,

"You really miss the big picture Miss Saxon, so I would love to stand here and chat but I have three other relics to find and only nine more days left until the convergence, but I guess you already knew that", Carmicheal points out his own pride by saying something he really shouldn't of,

Missy listens to him as she heard Carmicheal had exposed his game to her, maybe it was the heat getting to him that he neglected to control his own thoughts that were betraying him and only nine more days until the convergence, which was the planetary convergence, which made perfect sense to activate the relics,

"Yes of course I know, but your not having it, forget it", Missy had an idea, as her vortex malipulator beeped,

Before she could say anything more a shot was fired by her feet causing her to push Suki back more against the table as she put her hands behind her back and started to fiddle about with the vortex malipulator making it ready. Missy could do it behind her back very easily as she looked at Carmicheal who seemed to be loosing his cool,

"The next shot will be so sad, you wouldn't want to see Mr Tanaka take a bullet would you, so please take the relic and toss it over to us and I promise, your deaths will be quick and painless", Carmicheal yells firmly at them both,

"Well at least you know how to negotiate directly, as laywers are suck dicks", Missy cheekily winks as she looks at him,

Carmicheal rolls his eyes as he wipes his forehead, "I am loosing my patience Miss Saxon, so how about we just kill you both and end this disgustion",

Missy watches as the soldiers point their weapons ready to fire, but she had an idea, it was radical but effective as she stuck out her hand to calm them down, "Alright give me one minute, just one mintue, it's not like we can go anywhere, one minute, I swear no tricks",

"One minute and after one minute of the relic doesn't sit in my hand my men will fire", Carmicheal huffs as he wipes his head

Missy looks at Suki as she looks at her, Missy whispers to her, "Do you trust me?",

Suki wipes her sweaty brow, "Yes",

Missy nods with a wink at her, "Listen the relic can be only handled by a human, blood activates it but tears deactivates it, I am going to say that only you can touch it once we do I want you to stand at the edge, but trust me okay",

Suki takes a deep breath as she looks into Missy's eyes as she was being truthful but there was a little hint of mischievous about them as she could see Carmicheal looking at his watch, he was being very firm in timing them both. Suki wipes her head, her sweaty hands as she grabs the relic stone and held it in her hand, there was this tingling sensation as she held it.

Missy managed to press the button on her vortex malipulator as she watched as Suki walked to edge preparing to throw the relic to Carmicheal,

"The relic Miss Tanaka...", Carmicheal spoke out to her with a smile,

Missy knew they had one chance and one chance only as be took a deep breath feeling the vortex malipulator starting to work. Carmicheal noticed the device on her wrist as he looked at his soldiers, "No... Open fire", his voice shouted, "Kill her..",

The guns fired as Missy ran at Suki, the bullets merely missing her as she ran and Suki turned around. Missy pushed the button as she seem to Ruby tackle her as they fell over the side and dissappeared. Carmicheal grunted as he looked at the impact point, just staring with angry stare.

One of the soldiers stood near him staring at the water as it was bubbling but it was slowing down as like it was stopping from boiling. He shone his torch at water, "Their gone or dead sir",

"They are alive, not to matter, we see them again", Carmicheal stood up and grunted,

"The orders were to retrieve the relic sir", the soldier said to Carmicheal,

Carmicheal wasn't in a good mood as he took a gun from the holster of another soldier and shot the one who was reminding him of his mission. The soldier feel dead into  the still hot water as he handed the gun back to soldier,

"Thank you, let's go", Carmicheal grunts as he stormed off.
