forty one. hale of a day

THE NEXT FEW DAYS WERE PEACEFUL now that the Deadpool was over. No more unexpected assassins, no more surprises, nothing that had to do with money and murder. There was officially peace in Beacon Hills and everyone could go back to their lives again. Especially since a few of the werewolves had important things to plan; a wedding.

Paige was happy, more than ever. Engaged to the love of her life and a kid of her own. There was nothing more she could ever want, and Derek could say the same. It wasn't long after it hit the nearly 8th hour of the morning, the sun was starting to shine through the large window on the furthest wall of the loft, Derek and Paige were sleeping sound in one another's arms.

They didn't get to sleep until late at night after Lydia showed up at their door screaming, in her pajamas drenched in the heavy rain. They knew it was a warning for Derek, people like Lydia predicted death before it happens. Death. The word itself made Paige feel queasy, especially she had met it before in the past and now was Derek was close to it.

It was the only thing that made her nervous

As they slept on the bed, Selina peered down from the top of the spiral staircase to see her parents sound asleep. Noticing the all clear, she gestured to a nervous Liam who was standing close behind the Hale with his bag in his sweaty hands to follow her and so he did. They tiptoed as quiet as humanly possible down the stairs and to the door.

But Liam being the scaredy cat he was, he accidentally dropped his bag onto the floor while they made their way past the bed. The loud thud made Liam freeze in place out fear and Selina rushed to look at him in anger. "What the fuck?"She said in a questionable whisper, putting her hands out. "Sorry, my hands are sweaty"Liam apologized frustrated as Selina picked up his backpack, shoving it on chest in a vicious manner.

Before the two could say another peep, they heard movement coming from the bed in corner and when they turned out of horror, they saw Paige's eyes flickering open just as she rolled off Derek's chest. "How long do I have?"Liam asked terrified, his eyes glued open "Like, not even 10 seconds"Selina answered and that's what made Selina push Liam to the door in a hurry.

She shut the door so quickly that she didn't see Liam's face when he turned round to say goodbye or to give Selina a quick peck on her lips.

As soon as the door closed, Paige rubbed her eyes rising up from the bed. When she saw Selina facing the door, letting out an exhale of relief, her eyebrows curled. "Why are you standing at the door?"She asked and Selina turned around to the tired woman. "I'm waiting for a package?"Selina said nervously, her hands behind her back.

"Selina, it's nearly 8am"Paige reminded and she nodded, letting out a silent 'oh'. "Guess I haven't realized I woke up earlier than usual"Paige nodded too in an unconvinced manner while climbing out of bed and walking over to Selina. Standing at the bottom of the stairs, she took a glance at a semi awake Derek before turning back to her daughter.
