Kiko's phone alarm went off causing her and Kadota to jump. Izaya had already brewed them coffee. She smelled it going to the kitchen, Kadota rubbed his eyes.

"I wasn't serious about staying here." Izaya told him to turn the tv off. "You're welcomed too, but only when I don't have work." Kadota nodded his head a bit confused.

"Hey Izaya-" he cut him off.

"I don't want to know what you told her or what she told you. I'm not talking about the past so get the thought out of your head." Kiko walked in looking at the two before chugging her coffee. "You pick your uniform up in the office and change at school for today. Remember your last name is Takahashi."

"Ew why moms?" She walked to the shoe closet getting her bag and slippers.

"Because Orihara will get you noticed." Kadota watched the two interact, realizing how much they needed one another.

"Walk me to school, Kadota?"

"Sure." He got up grabbing his keys and wallet. Izaya was back at his computer waving at them. "Why'd you want me to walk you?"

"Figured you could show me a short cut, and I'm bad at directions believe it or not." They were silent for a bit. "I appreciate you not telling Izaya about last night, Celty cleaned up for me. I don't want him to know how bad it is."

"He didn't want to hear anything about yesterday."

"He forgets the past, I don't. It's something I hate." They arrived at the gates of the school separating. Kadota tried calling Izaya, but no answer. He sighed, going to the only other person he could think of, Shinra. Kiko walked into the school and found the office. The woman at the desk looked at her. "My name is Takahashi Kiko, it's my first day here."

"The transfer, yes. Let me get your uniform." She came back with a couple pairs of clothes. "Here are your changes and your schedule. We have a restroom right outside there for you to change." She wrote on an orange slip. "This is for your teacher."

"Thank you." She grabbed the paper slipping into the bathroom and changed. She looked at her schedule and headed to her locker putting the rest of the clothes inside. Kiko looked around before eventually finding her classroom. She knocked on the door with a woman opening it.

"Yes?"

"I'm new here, I was told to give this to you." She handed her the note from the office. She moved aside letting Kiko walk in.

"Class this is Takahashi Kiko, she'll be your new classmate. Welcome her." The kids said welcome to her. The teacher pointed to Kida and told her to sit. She sighed sitting next to the boy, he slid closer to her.

"Hey cutie pie, I was wondering when you'd get here." Kida said, winking at her.

"Kida back at your own desk." The teacher told him, some in the class laughed. Kiko groaned, putting her head down for a moment. She zoned out looking out the window at the birds. A thumping caught the class's attention as a trash bag hit the window. "Class attention." The teacher was used to Izaya and Shizuo it seemed. Kiko didn't miss school, she hated it. Only good thing is it was a way to waste time and away from home. It wasn't so bad at her old school, at least she knew people there. Class soon ended with the lunch bell ringing. Kiko was wandering around and ended up finding the roof. Kida, Mikado, and Anri ended up following her up. Mikado wanted to study what she was like, he had a sudden strange feeling about the girl.

"Hey you're new right?" A boy asked walking up to Kiko. Kida stood guard like she would need him. "My name's Hana, nice to meet you." The two bowed at one another. "Strange starting school on a Friday huh."
