chapter thirteen : you are wolves

Today Terrick and Annex return back to their company in the human realm, and something unexpected happened to him and Annex which have them heading to go see Saphira the white witch.

Terrick and Annex were running in their wolf form, they don't want to use the car they left behind well more like Terrick doesn't want to use the car because Annex wants to. Terrick just want to run and clear his head and mind. The his mother gave him three days ago is disturbing him.. He doesn't want a weak creature as his mate.

Terrick an$ Annex ran through the woods and arrive at an abandoned park. Since there is no one there they decided to shift back to their human form. Not like anyone will see them but it's better save the sorry. Just as they shift into their wolf they heard a little gasp, they turn to see a little girl who looks like she's around eight years old and is a street child judging from her clothing. She was looking at them wide eyes with mouth a gap.

She said the obvious which well is not suppose to be obvious for her " your are wolves" her voice came out as a whisper but they could he's it anyways thanks to their abilities.

Terrick and Annex look at each other unable to comprehend what is happening, I mean she smells and looks like a human then how can she see them?

Little Epie is a girl who has recently be seeing some strange things around her. She one's saw I wolf an$ thought it was a big dog. She went up to it and was about to pat it up the dog look at her strangely. She talk to the dog with her small voice " good doggy, I won't hurt you I promise. Are you like me? Don't you have a home? I don't see a collar on your neck so I guest your a street dog just like me. (She giggled) am a child and your a dog. A big one at that." The dog was still looking at her strangely and she notice the people looking at her strangely too. The dog had huge fans like wolves just like what she use to see on TV when her parents were alive. Epie look closer and that's when she notice that the dog is a wolf. And base on what she knows wolves are meanies. She ran away from the wolf.

The other day she saw a lady with wings and she guest that she is a fairy like the ones in her story book. Mommy said they are nice. She thought to herself and she she was about to talk to it and make wish so the fairy will make it come true, it flew away.

Her friends call her crazy and stop walking with her when they go to beg. She just concluded that it was her imagination. For an eight year old she is smart.

And today she just saw two wolves turn to humans and they look really big. The white one was bigger than the ash one. Terrick walk up to her and went down on his kneels so he could be on the same height as her. " what did you say we are honey" he spoke very gentle so as not to scare the little girl. " your wolves" she repeated her statement looking shock and mesmerized by the fact that wolves can turn to humans.

" so you saw us turning to humans" just to be sure that she saw them Terrick had to ask again. "Uh huh" she said while nodding her head and smiling this time showing her front teeth which is missing two teeth's one at each side.

" your a white wolf, a big one and his an ash wolf big too but not as big as you" she said pointing at Annex who stood looking at her with wonder. " you guys are bigger than the other wolf I saw a week ago. His a bad wolf, he just kept staring at me like am crazy. But you don't seem to be a bad wolf your good" she said smiling widely.

Terrick stood up and walk up to Annex, " what can you make of this" Terrick ask Annex just shrunk his shoulder finding it difficult to say anything. His still shock " let's take her to Saphira maybe she might know" Terrick suggested, what's he turn to the little girl and ask " what's your name" " am Epie"

" alright Epie do you want to come with me?" He ask her

" no mom said i shouldn't go with strangers"

" where is your mom"

" she is in heaven" she said pointing at the sky " both her and daddy. I'll go meet them very soon"

" OK. Am Terrick and he is Annex" he introduce themselves. Annex who is looking at them who just recover from his shock got another shock and this time it was from Terrick. He could he be so nice and gentle to the human when he hates them? If he wants to he can just grab her and put her in a sack.

" now you know us which means we are not stranger nu friends now" Epie thought about I for a while before nodding "OK I guest your right let's go.
