Terrick swallow his pride and anger and walk up to them with a fake smile on his face. To be honest he wants to rip off his head and burn it for touching and talking freely with his mate. " Hi , Rudolf right?" He ask " yes and you are the all knowing business tycoon Terrick Clarkson" he acts ignorant as if he doesn't know that he is the supreme alpha. " so i hear that you are friends with Catrina" he ask " yes I am and am here to take her with me" he said it with no fear or what so ever, his voice holds determination. But how long will it last? "(Laughs) I don't think so, she stays here and is going no where" " I know you are rich and all but don't think i will be scared of you like the others are, cause am not. I will stand head on and am not backing down, i am taking her with me and that's final" " It's like you don't understand what your saying and what your up against, i believe you know me far and beyond" by saying far and beyond he means as a rich business tycoon and an alpha. Catrina is not understanding what is happening why are they talking about her like she is not present, i mean she is standing in front of them. At the mention of the proposal Terrick was one hundred and one percent sure that Catrina will choose to go with Rudolf and not stay with him. Firstly Rudolf is her best friend, secondly she has always want to leave this place, thirdly she is so scared of him right now thanks to his beast. " So Catrina do you want to go back with me to meet Thelma and be with me or do you want to stay back here with this strange people whom you don't know who they are and what they are?" He ask her. Thelma is the house maid who she has grown to love and see as a mother figure since her aunt deny her the right of seeing her as her mother.   Catrina stood there not prepared for all of this, she look at Terrick and he turn his face away hiding his sadness, she turn and look at Ayra whom she has come to love and she can see her sadness and the tears which are threatening to fall, she look at Epie the little girl had tears rolling down her cheeks. She look at Rudolf who is looking at her with hopes and happiness cause he is a hundred and one percent sure that Catrina will choose to go with him. " Rudolf you've been such a great friend to me, you stood by me when everyone called me a freak, you always try to make me laugh and i love you for that and i want to say thank you" she stop to take in some air. Rudolf was all smiles when she was saying all that, 'she loves me too' this was ringing in his head like a church bell.   " but..(she continue) i can't go back with you" she drop the bomb. The smile on Rudolf's face turn up side down. " what do you mean Catrina? Don't you want to go with me? Don't you want to see Thelma? " he ask sounding sad and disappointed. " Rudolf don't get me wrong, I like all of you, I want to see aunt Thelma but I don't want to go back there. Sure this people are unknown to me but I can get to know them right? I like it here and I don't want to leave. I've seen them and I've grown to love them all, I have bad memories of city and I don't want to live like that again, with the memories hunting me. I mean take a look at me now, I have no bruises or wounds and am not pale, my eyes have light, light which had disappeared ages ago are returning back. Can't you see the changes in me? Sure Terrick gets scary sometimes but I can deal with that as I don't mind it. I don't know why but I feel drawn to him like a magnet, I don't want to be away from him or this place." She said with her voice as low as ever but the people around her could hear her speak even Epie because she is a superhuman child. " Catrina what are you saying? What about me? Don't you love me like I do you?" He anticipated for her reply wishing and begging in his mind for the feeling to be a mutual one. " I love you Rudolf, I do" this made his heart to jump for joy and his hopes high again, and as for Terrick he is sad to hear that his mate loves someone else and not him. Why did Selene not make the mate bond to work for them both? screw the mate bond, he loves her mate bond or not he loves her. He doesn't know how it happened but it happened. "But I love you as a friend and nothing more. I thought you knew that already? I didn't know you had emotional feelings for me, I thought it end at the level of friendship" well Catrina knows how to drop a bomb and kill one's emotions and shatter one’s heart to a million pieces Rudolf look at her with disbelief, a lone tear slide down his manly but boyish cheeks since he looks like a nineteen years old boy. This revelation took Terrick by surprise, he never expected this from Catrina. She wants to stay here with him and his pack? If that's the case it's better he tells her the truth and let her choose again. Let her know what she is getting herself into. If she chooses to go it's fine but if she chooses to stay then everything will be in order. " Catrina before you finally make up your mind on staying here, I want you to know about something, to know about me and my people and who you are to me, I want you to know why I sometimes act like I don't think" begins " Terrick don't" Aurora warned " you are going to ruin your life and destroy your chances of being with her" she continued " no mom it's best she knows before making a decision on whether she wants to be here or go with Rudolf" " what are you talking about? Am getting confused here" Catrina said with a frown " like I said earlier don't see me as a monster please" Terrick stop to look at her pretty face with a smile on his face. " we are not humans" he let the cat out of the bag " what do you mean by that?" Catrina ask feeling confused " but you look human to me, are you trying to mess with my head?" " am not trying to mess with your head Catrina, am a night creature not just me but everyone here except you and Epie" Catrina shift her eyes from Terrick to Epie then Ayra then Annex and finally Rudolf.   " your a liar what do you mean by that? Rudolf is human and same as you" " rudolf isn't a human, his a vampire" " what?" She exclaims with wide eyes "Rudolf is this true?" She ask? " Catrina I-" " is this true" she ask and for some reason her voice was clear and loud but she didn't notice it. It's like she has overcome her fear and now she is shock of the revelation. "Yes" he accepted "You lie" Catrina isn't ready to accept the fact that the person she has known for years is a vampire, a blood sucking demon. " am not lying Catrina am not" he stands by his decision " proof it"   Rudolf gave a sad smile before elongating his fangs and turning his eyes red, blood shot red. Vampires can make humans see them when they want to but wolves have a certain procedure to follow.   A loud gasp left Catrina's mouth.   " Oh my God!" She exclaim She turn to look at Terrick " I knew there was something off with you but I never expected this, I thought that maybe you need help but boy was I wrong, your a wolf, I have been living, sleeping and dining with wolves"  she affirms     What surprises everyone present is she wasn't or isn't scared of them but shocked, she is shock and that's all. “ is there anything else you have to tell me?” She ask “ the reason why you are here and why when ever our body makes contact you feel a spark is because you are my mate” “ your mate? What is that?” “It means we are destined and made for each other, you are my destiny” “So that’s why she brought me back” she ask herself but the people could hear her anyways “What do you mean” this time it was Terrick’s turn to be confused. “ Selene said I can’t die because my role hear in earth isn’t complete, she said if I die I will ruin someone’s life” she explains “Typical of Selene” Terrick smiled “ to be honest when Selene told me my mate will be human I had promised to kill her and live life alone. But here I am hoping she doesn’t leave me alone and my beast gets angry and jealous when ever she call another mans name or say she can never be with me. “ am speechless” “ you don’t have to say anything Catrina, all you have to do is listen. I love you so much and I don’t mean I love you because of the mate bond but a genuine love” “ Catrina I knew you first and I love you first, so please don’t listen to what he is saying for he doesn’t love you like I do. I can’t live without you” Rudolf who has been silent all this while decide to speak. “Rudolf I can’t, sure they are wolves but I still want to be here with them. I feel safer here with them than there. I will only go back there if Terrick or Annex takes me there.” Rudolf sigh in defeat. So this is how I loose you? You choose the supreme alpha over me. I will go but I bet you this is not the end of it, if I can’t have you then nobody else will and that’s final. He said in his mind before forming a fake smile on his lip and say “ if that’s your decision then I accept it, I will support you in everything you do, that’s how much I love you and my feelings will never change I will always love you.” And after saying that he hug her and walk away going back to the city with a revenge in his mind, not for Catrina but for Terrick. He loves her so much he wouldn’t hurt her, Terrick has made one enemy and that’s him and this is for taking what belongs to him, the person he has love for all this years waiting for the right time to tell her how he feels. Epie run to her and gives her a tight hug “ thank you for not leaving” she said with tears rolling down her delicate cheeks. “ I will never leave you” he assure her and hug her her back “ have you notice something different about yourself?” Epie ask Catrina “No I’ve not, what is different about me?” She ask “ your voice, it’s louder now” “ huh oh my yeah it is” she said touching her throat. Terrick look at her with a genuine smile on his face Catrina return to Terrick’s room with Epie sticking to her like a second skin.
