Thalia felt like God of thunder was estimating her, his stormy blue eyes slightly narrowed and calculating. He was currently sitting on his majestic golden throne decorated with thunder patterns, conversing with someone Thalia assumed was his adviser. Or someone famous from Greek mythology yet she had no idea who it might be.
She knew they were talking about her because they would glance at her from time to time. The adviser paused for a few moments and looked at her, giving her a mysterious smile. Even though he was far from her, she could see the wisdom hiding behind his handsome face.
After all, Hermes was considered as one of the most clever Olympians.
As she stood awkwardly in the centre of the room, she felt numerous pairs of eyes on her. Her arms crossed protectively over her chest as she cleared her throat, damning the day Hades walked into her life. Or, well, when she magically appeared in his realm. Drawing the attention of the gods can never be a good thing, no matter if they were good or bad. If greek tales had taught her anything, it was that.
"Such beauty..." an alluring feminine voice said behind her, making her jump up slightly as she was getting lost in her throughts. Thalia turned around, coming face to face with one of the most beautiful women she had ever seen. No, scratch that. She was the most enchanting woman she had ever seen.
"Aphrodite," she mumbled, immediately figuring out who she was. She was unable to take her eyes off her. Just like Eros, Aphrodite drew you in with her aura.
"Clever girl. Though I suppose it wasn't that hard to guess," she drawled in her gentle voice followed by a smooth chuckle. Her actions were languid, almost seductive as she ran her dainty fingers through her thick hair.
"Mother, leave the girl at peace. Can't you see she is frightened?" Eros quipped, appearing on his mother's side only to stand by Thalia, a bit too close for Thalia's liking.
"I can see a lot of things when I look at her..." Aphrodite criptically said, the same narrowed eyes as Zeus' striking her. She elegantly walked away from them, but not before glancing at her once more over her shoulder.
"I'm sorry, but does me being here has any purpose?" Thalia inquired, getting slightly annoyed. A thought had popped into her mind that she might perhaps see her mother here, but she quickly discarded the idea. For some reason, everything about her was unlcear, as if she knew exactly who she was, but was unable to get a clear image or a name in her mind. It felt like her head was manipulated. Something was preventing her from asking about her right now as well.
"Our king wanted to see you." Eros shrugged then gave her a beautiful grin that could make any woman week in the knees.
"Alright, the party can start now." A cheerful voice boomed throughout the room as Poseidon walked through the palace doors, two water whirpools following him, each on one side of him. Everyone seemed unimpressed and like they were used to his antics.
"Okay, one at a time people, one at a time," he jested as no one approached and with a snap of his fingers, the whirpools disappeared, bursting simultaneously and creating small shiny droplets that fell around. Thalia smiled widely, looking up as the droplets hit her skin. She was the only one that seemed to like the show.
"Found my audience," Poseidon announced happily, leisurely strolling towards her. "Hey, there. You alright?"
"Yeah. Care to explain why am I here?" She asked quietly, relieved he was here.
"I'll get you out of here. Tell me you didn't mention Harry?" Poseidon criptically asked, that being their code name for Hades.
Thalia shook her head. "No, but I have a feeling it's his fault I'm here. Why else would I draw Zeus' attention? I'm nothing but a demigod." She paused then frowned a little. "Right?"
