Will Peters knew something was wrong with his daughter. He could always feel it, as if that was his superpower. She wasn't answering her phone and the tracker he installed in it for her safety wasn't working.
Even though his precious daughter lived with none other than god of death, he miraculously wasn't the one jeopardising her safety the most. Ever since children and young adults around her age began periodically disappearing fifteen years ago, he was constantly worried about her.
He wouldn't be so worried if there wasn't a pattern. All of them were descendants of the greek gods. Thanks to his job, he had access to a lot of information and it didn't take him long to figure it out. Will knew they were abducted for their powers because he could still remember clearly when ten years ago one man approached him, offering him money in exchange of taking blood samples from his daughter and being very upfront about knowing "the truth" about her. He offered to help them.
Will declined, of course, and threatened to lock him up if he ever sees him near his daughter. That encounter made him terrified because Thalia was all he had and she was in danger now that her heritage was no longer a secret he tried very hard to keep hidden.
He spent years trying to track down the scientists performing the experiments on demigods, but they were exceptionally good at covering their tracks, plus, he was doing the investigation alone which made it harder. Will also had suspicions they had help from the government because someone had to fund the all the research.
As he sat behind the wooden desk in his living room and thought about it, he had grown more nervous until he finally snapped. He abruptly stood up and looked at the framed picture of his smiling daughter perched upon the desk. "Hang on, Thals, I will find you. Hold on just a little more, honey."

Hades tried to act calm. Which was a big deal for him considering Hades was never calm.
No matter how much he tried, he was worried. Thalia was supposed to come back two hours ago and she still hadn't arrived. She didn't call either nor was she answering her phone. And learning from past experiences, that was never a good sign.
"This damn talking device," Hades muttered in anger as he stared at the phone in his hand, clumsily trying to unlock it with his fingerprint. It was a miracle the thing wasn't burned to crisp.
The fact he had yet another nightmare only contributed to his bad mood. Whenever he woke up, he couldn't remember what it was about, and it felt like an itch he couldn't reach. He was so close to remembering it, but whenever he tried, he simply couldn't "unlock" the memories. It made him uneasy not only because he knew the nightmares were about something that caused him great agony, but because he was afraid they were about something he wouldn't be able to handle.
After all, god of death wasn't good at controlling his emotions.
He sighed deeply as he sat on the couch in the living room, covering his face with his palms. It annoyed him that he could literally feel that something was wrong with Thalia. He didn't want to feel anything when it came to her because feeling something for a mortal never ended up well for both parts. He had seen it happen a few times during the centuries he had spent existing on this world. Besides, he had other things to focus on, like getting his revenge.
But why was she the only thing he could think about right now? So annoying.
"Where are you, you pesky little mortal?" He tried to contact her via mind link, but it appeared to be blocked somehow which only made him angrier. The next thing he knew, he was pacing back and forth across the living room.
