"This isn't exactly what I had in mind when we joined you," Taylor said with an exasperated look on her face.

Kat groaned and Carlos looked around the room the disgusting room they were in.

It was a very small and dusty room, with folders and records dating back to the 20th century. There was nothing else in the room, just pile and piles of files and paperwork scattered about. William had brought Carlos and Taylor in here to search the history of their abilities. William believed that learning about the origins of their abilities would help them to better control them.

"This is what I get for coming along," Kat grumbled, starting to shuffle through the folders.

"You didn't have to come," Taylor pointed out, glancing through a folder dated 1992 before putting it back.

"You're like my sister," Kat said, ignoring the surprised look she got from Taylor as she turned towards Carlos, "and Carlos, you remind me so much of my cousin it feels like you're a clone. Of course, I'm gonna help you."

Carlos was silent before he slowly nodded. After he agreed to stay, Xylein and the others said they would as well. Xylein has claimed that even though they hadn't known each other for very long, they were like a family, so they wanted to stay. Sammy went with Gretel, who was left on babysitting duty, and Amelia took the Xylein to show him around.

Xylein was now running from place to place, helping everything run as smoothly as it can. Carlos had never known that Xylein went to college with a minor in business for a time before dropping out to take care of Taylor and Kat.

"Hey! Come look at this!" Carlos snapped out of his thoughts, walking over to Kat, who was frantically waving a folder.

"What's up?" Carlos asked.

"Read this," Kat said, shoving the folder into Taylor's hands.

"Four siblings discovered to have abilities unimaginable," Taylor read out loud, "Ranging from the age of twenty to eight years old, these four siblings living in Nebraska-"

"What's Nebraska?" Carlos asked.

"I'm guessing it's an old country or something," Kat replied, "Skip ahead."

"Twenty-year-old Dalton was discovered to be able to obtain speeds faster than light itself, leaving scientists stumped to how his body is still intact."

"What do they mean 'intact'," Carlos mumbled.

"If someone without a speed ability were to try and obtain those speeds, their skin could peel off," Taylor said, "I read about that somewhere." Carlos felt a chill run down his spine at the image of a person's skin peeling off.

Taylor kept reading, "Seventeen-year-old Macy has been seen creating a variety of weapons out of what appears to be thin air, everything from swords to maces. She has also been seen disappearing and reappearing into different locations in a matter of seconds."

"Sound familiar?" Kat nudged Carlos' shoulder, letting Carlos process what was just told to him. Carlos felt his face pale a little when he realized that these two files were talking about people with the same abilities as Xylien and Amelia.

"Thirteen-year-old Derreck has shown that he is able to read a person's mind, and with enough concentration, can control the person into doing whatever he wishes."

"I'm getting creeped out," Carlos admitted, feeling slightly uncomfortable with what Kat has found.

"Eight-year-old Bentley has the strangest of all, able to do anything she wishes. She can fly, turn invisible, and she appears to be able to give these abilities to whoever she chooses."

"This is a joke!" Carlos exclaimed, hating the similarities between these kids and them, "Someone put these here!"

"Keep reading Taylor," Kat ignored Carlos.

"They are currently being quarantined, and others are admitting to their children showing strange abilities as well, all between the ages of twenty-one and five."

"It's the first record of abilities," Taylor explained, a look of wonder in her eyes, "And it all started with these four."

"Flip to the picture of the siblings," Kat ordered Taylor, trying to keep in her excitement.

Taylor shakily lifted the paper she was reading to look at the photos behind it, but dropped the folder with a squeal.

"What?!" Carlos asked, rushing over and picking up the folder. Taylor didn't answer, and just pointed towards the folder.

Carlos looked at the first photo, and his blood ran cold. The four siblings looked exactly like him, Sammy, Amelia, and Xylein. They were standing together in front of a bunch of very strange and tall plants. They appeared to be dressed semi nicely and were smiling at the camera. It must have been a family photo taken of the siblings.

Carlos flipped the photo, and it was dated August of 2020, over 3,000 years ago.

Carlos lifted up the rest of the photos, and these showed the siblings using their abilities. One was of a spedometer with a blur beside it, which was most likely Dalton with his super speed. One showed Macy holding up a sword in an array of black and purple smoke. Another showed Derreck, and his eyes were pitch black, and there was a person in the mirror behind him in a weird dance position. The last one showed Bentley flying and her holding her hand up, making another person fly.

"And then read the last page," Kat said, the excitement now very noticeable in her voice.

Carlos wearily grabbed the next paper and felt his blood run cold.

Taylor looked over his shoulder and read out loud in horror, "The Power Four Missing. The four siblings, The Power Four, the ones who started the rebellion against the government, have mysteriously vanished. The Power Four had demanded the government be trialed over inhumane experimentation and imprisonment of the so-called "ability users". They have been rioting and calling the government to take action for months, but have been now been reported missing from their home and have been seen nowhere for two weeks. A further investigation shall be conducted. No further evidence is allowed to the public at this time."

The trio sat in silence, processing what they had just heard.

"What does this mean?" Carlos asked no one in particular.

"I think it means," Kat answered anyway, "That history just might be repeating itself."

"What do you mean?" Taylor asked Kat.

"Think about it. Isn't it very coincidental that there are four people, each the same age as The Power Four, and having the same abilities, are now in a rebellion against the government?"

Carlos nodded his head, but still not fully understanding what he just read.

Was history really going to repeat itself?
