"Oh, my holy Doritos."

No one said a word after Amelia and Carlos left Ian's interrogation room behind. Everyone was silent till they were all inside Wallace's office. Taylor was holding Carlos up, who could barely feel anything in his body. Carlos clutched his head in pain, the headache getting worse. Carlos had never felt more pain in his life.

"What did I just witness?" Wallace mumbled, not quite believing what he saw.

"I regret ever being a jerk to Carlos," Kat said with a pale face, realizing just how strong Carlos was, even for never using his ability.

Carlos couldn't help the tears that formed in his eyes as he looked up at the others, knowing what was going to happen next, "You all are scared of me now aren't you?"

Gretel and Wallace looked towards each other, seeming to be having the same thought in their minds. Carlos hoped it wasn't to get rid of him. Sammy seemed to like it here.

"Carlos, what you did was incredible," Amelia encouraged, coming over and putting a reassuring hand on Carlos' shoulder, "In fact, you saved me from having to go through Waldo's first-aid."

"You would not believe the number of times Amelia has gotten hurt," Gretel interrupted, "Icebreaker had pulled that little icicle dagger trick on Amelia multiple times."

"He's a sneaky little b-"

"Language," Wallace said sternly.

"Alright, dad!" Amelia rolled her eyes, a very small smile on her face, "Anyways, I'm just glad we finally have a lead."

"Yes," Wallace said, walking over to the pinboard and rearranging the papers, "With this information, we can map out their hierarchy and how they are discovering our safe houses."

Gretel gave Carlos a hope-filled look, "Carlos, what you just did could have just saved thousands of lives."

Carlos felt a wave of pride go through him. Carlos had never been told his abilities were helpful. Carlos had always been told and believed his abilities were a curse. He was told that if anyone would see his abilities, he would be called a monster and outcasted from society.

"So?" Everyone turned towards the open doorway to William standing there, leaning against the door frame with a knowing look on his face, "How did it go?"

"We got a lot out of him," Wallace informed William, "Now, I can map out who might be their top dog."

"Top dog?" Taylor questioned, both her and Carlos confused by the weird lingo they had never heard before.

"Don't mind his weird phrases," Amelia smirked, "Waldo uses words that are so old even his great-grandparents wouldn't understand what he is saying."

"Oh hardy har har," Wallace grumbled, turning his back to Amelia.

"Carlos!" Before Carlos could process who said his name, he and Taylor were sent flying to the ground. Carlos felt a small weight on his back and knew right away who it was. He turned his head and saw Sammy on his back, bear-hugging him tightly.

"Sammy, I'm fine," Carlos chuckled, knowing how worried Sammy would get.

"Sorry about that," Xylein appeared in a blur by the door, looking embarrassed that Sammy had gotten away, "She managed to sneak away when I went to get drinks. I ran around this whole place trying to find her. I did manage to get lost five separate times."

"Yeah, that's easy to do," Gretel smirked, "Wallace gets lost almost every day."

"Anyways," William interrupted, saving his brother from further embarrassment, "How are you feeling Carlos?"
